One Last Surprise From Marvel At Comic Con!

As Comic-Con comes to an end, the studio decided to reveal a key prop - a secret weapon - from the Thor movie!

What is it? Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet.

Before the unveiling, an announcer at the booth asked the crowd to "prepare to witness" the Gauntlet, announcing that it will make an appearance in next summer's Thor. The Gauntlet is one of the most powerful items in the Marvel U.



IGN had an exclusive conversation with one of the individuals responsible for creating the Gauntlet, and they told us that it is a key item in Odin's collection, just like the Cosmic Cube is, the one we saw Red Skull searching for in footage from Thor. The site's source also hinted that maybe, just maybe, the Gauntlet will be featured in Joss Whedon's Avengers movie. And no, that doesn't mean that Thanos is the villain (or is he?)

WOW!!!!!! I doubt Thanos will be the villain but hey this is a really really cool fine...They are heavily hinting at the sci-fi aspect of the Asgardian's. Maybe the cube scene is at the end of THOR's post credit

Its a real shame they cant even get AVENGERS right, no way in hell we'd ever get something as big, epic or bad as the INFINITY GAUNTLET ever on screen!

Imagine that, it'll feel bigger than STAR WARS & LOTRS together! ; P

That is amazing!!! While I'm not sure whether I'd want to see Thanos as the main villain of The Avengers (come on - it's got to be Loki/Hulk) the simple fact they're going to include this in Thor is why I love Marvel Studios! :)

Umm...Lee...why would they introduce the Infinity Gauntlet if it is never going to be on screen? You seem to take some things way too personally (Hank & Jan possibly not being in the Avengers) and let it interfere with your overall judgment. ;-)
