THE PUNISHER Rumored To Appear In DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Disney+ Series

We've been hearing a lot about the possible return of Frank Castle recently, and the rumor mill is now claiming that we will see The Punisher make his MCU debut in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again show.

Rumors have been doing the rounds about Jon Bernthal potentially reprising the role of The Punisher from the now defunct Netflix series for quite a while, and even though the actor has downplayed the possibility in interviews, it began to seem more like a matter of "when" than "if" after the MCU debuts of Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and The Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio).

More recently, Rosario Dawson seemingly let slip that Bernthal's take on Frank Castle is set to return, and even though the Sin City actress would later walk back her comments, fans remain convinced that the ultra-violent vigilante is MCU-bound.

Now, a new rumor doing the rounds online is claiming that The Punisher will "show up" in the planned Daredevil: Born Again Disney+ series. The supposed scoop was Tweeted out by new kid of the block @CanWeGetSomeToast, who seems to have built up a pretty solid track record in a short time. Even so, it's obviously best not to put too much stock in this until we hear more.

Castle and Matt Murdock have a lot of history in the comic books, and even though they don't cross paths in Frank Miller's Born Again comic, we already know that the show is going to have to make some significant changes to the source material.

It might be worth noting that the upcoming Daredevil series may not be the first time we see the character, as we've also heard whispers that he could factor into Echo.

What do you guys make of this? Do you think we will see The Punisher make his presence felt in Daredevil: Born Again, or is the anti-hero way too dark and brutal for Marvel Studios to utilize?

All the more reason why Disney needs to have an Adult Contact section on Disney+.

Back in the 80's they created the "Touchstone" company for the more adult themed movies like "Splash", etc.

They can easily resurrect that label for the Adults section and then give us many more adult themed comic book shows, and even take some of the characters into more adult themed storylines.

@TyrantBossMedia - Right? Just call it "Marvel Knights" branding and BOOM, DONE!

That was such a good idea back then when they were branding certain character movies on that like Ghost Rider 2 & Punisher War Zone.

@TyrantBossMedia - I wonder since Deadpool is on Disney plus, if they are open to creating adult content on there.

I honestly don't see them doing Punisher justice given the current climate of Disney and it's take on R rated films. Given Blade will most likely be PG-13.

SOME justice to the character might get done right, but I do expect a very water downed Punisher to fit PG-13, I just don't know about it.

@MachinimaMan - if they can have John Walker chopping of heads, they can have Punisher do something brutal as well. Atleast, I guess they can
