Deadpool is widely considered one of the best superhero movies of all-time but a lot of negative buzz has surrounded the sequel in recent weeks. There's been talk of disastrous test screenings and extensive reshoots and while later reports made it clear that the movie actually scored highly and the reshoots only took place to add more Cable and Domino, that hasn't stopped some fans from worrying.
Brianna Hildebrand (who plays Negasonic Teenage Warhead and returns with a new look in the anticipated follow-up) talked with ScreenGeek about those reports and was quick to dismiss them.
"No, it was nothing that had gone wrong. I think it’s a common misconception too – that people think that reshoots are to fix things that people didn’t like," the actress explained after being pushed for details. "A lot of the time, reshoots are to add more of the things that people loved. [Filmmakers] watch their films again and are like 'better fix that.'" I don’t know how much I can say about that."
"Usually films hate it when you talk about their reshoots – solely because people think that it’s because the film was bad for the test audience – but it was all good," Hildebrand added, making it clear that fans have nothing to worry about when it comes to the quality of Deadpool 2.
