Deadpool 2 has been a hot topic of conversation in recent weeks with conflicting test-audience responses, the usual internet panic over reshoots and the general trepidation when a sequel to a much-loved film is on the horizon. The discussion points haven't solely been on the film's quality, however, but also its content.
As the second trailer for the FOX film revealed, Deadpool 2 will indeed see the mercenary form the Marvel Comics team X-Force. We already knew that Zazie Beets would be playing Domino and Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor Terry Crews is to play Bedlam, but there has been speculation about the other members of the team and who will be playing them.
Well shortly after that trailer dropped, Iron Fist and Into the Badlands' Lewis Tan has confirmed that he will indeed be playing Shatterstar.
Shatterstar is a genetically engineered, time-traveling and dimension-hopping warrior from Mojoworld who after traveling back in time and fighting against Domino and Cable became a founding member of X-Force. There are a number of rumors about the role that this version of the character and team is to play in the film, though the veracity of these can't be verified until it hits theatres on 18th May 2018.
What do you think of Lewis Tan's casting as Shatterstar? Are you a fan of the character? What would you like to see them do in the upcoming film? Leave your thoughts below.
* A note from the author: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that Terry Crews would play George Washington Bridge and has been edited appropriately.
