The pair who only recently drafted a script for a
Venom spin-off have been officially signed on to write a
Deadpool treatment.
Though no time table has been set for production on the project, it's expected to begin shortly after star Ryan Reynolds finishes
Green Lantern.
Lauren Shuler Donner, who is producing
Deadpool, has so far promised the movie will not follow the storyline established in last year's
X-Men Origins: Wolverine; but instead stay true to the source material. Ryan Reynold's has backed these statement up, saying we will definitely see a true comics-to-film adaptation of the character.
With writers now attached to the project, we'll finally learn how much of those promises will come true.
