Would a deadpool movie work?

I express early thoughts, real early thoughts

Ever since the 2009 box office disaster ,x men origins wolverine, many deadpool fans have been lobbying for a spin off featuring a true to source material deadpool. But with a character who is clearly insane and is completely unrelatable for regular movie audiences would the film work.

One of the things that I am most worried about is the fact that there is quite a big possibility that it will not get made. Sure Ryan Reynolds is starring and puts out a new statement every now, but apart from that I really can't see it being made. The development has been in limbo now for ages and many fans are getting annoyed when people put out statements saying that they are "hoping" to make a deadpool movie. Hoping? I didn't sit through that crap you call x men origins wolverine to see all my favourite characters butchered. I wouldn't of minded if you would have changed characters names to agent nil, bob or badger but you didn't and just decided to piss people off. Am I over reacting? yes and I apologize.

The next is that if the film is made in the style of Daniel Way's stories. Anyone who has read deadpool currently will know that Daniel Way sucks. He actually sucks. Although he has had some good stories most are just bad. Compared to some early stories these are humorless, tasteless and sometimes just crap. If the film follows this I will refuse to watch it, however if it follows Joe Kelly's view of the character and has those supporting characters I will watch it over and over again.

So there are my thoughts, short, sweet and sometimes rubbish.

Way's stories do suck. Some have been "meh", but that's it. Has he written the entire series? Because his clash with Bullseye-as-Hawkeye and his clash with the X-Men was funny, but that's it.

Lots of Comic Book fans don't like it but it wasn't a "Box office disaster" it doubled its budget and then some. It also grossed more than the first X-Men which is generally considered a better film. Just saying.

Way's run started off good, but now I feel like his stories just are not going anywhere. That was never a problem with Joe Kelly. Kelly always gave Deadpool a clear sense of direction, even when it had a huge suppporting cast to juggle and lots of crazy ideas. Way seems to just throw Deadpool random storyarcs lately that don't amount to much. I will say though that I love the 2 voices that Deadpool talks to in his head. That is brilliant. Honestly, the best writer to tackle Deadpool would be Rick Remender. Remender has already proven that he can handle big far reaching epics in Uncanny X-Force which also happens to feature Deadpool. And his run on Venom shows that he can handle books about one character with a supporting cast too.

Hopefully they would make the Deadpool movie based on "The Circle Chase" 4 part mini series or even the first or second run of the Deadpool Series. The new stuff is good, but Deadpool's beginnings are much more entertaining.

True Deadpool fans have been rooting for a film way before X-Men OR X-Men:Origins:Wolverine

Anything written by Fabian Nicieza would work.

I REALLY want a Deadpool movie bad. He is the one charactor that can parody the entire industry while telling the viewers that he is doing so. The action can be so over the top that there is no cap for it. I hate how people keep saying that Wade is unrelatable when he can actually communicate with the viewer, is funnier than most any fictional charactor and has the highest potential for action. There are people who go to summer blockbusters for explosions and care less about the story.

With that said I do want a great story that maximizes the personality of Wilson.

This is the same argument about it that I've heard again and again. I can't blame you for being worried, but I'm super excited.

I want this movie. It will happen. And hopefully it follows the script put out by the zombieland writers cause it is a fun and engaging character. Also I think Deadpool is sort of relatable, I mean not the deadpool in the Way series but the earlier deadpool. Dont some of us mask our pain and sadness with jokes to ease the pain?

the reason people probably didnt like this movie was because deadpool was brutally raped, he didnt have lasers and why take away his mouth? they should give the deadpool movie to a real director that knows whats hes doing.

i like that wade wilsons character have to moral compass or mental compass hes insane he wont follow and one direction for long because in the end he kills everyone or makes them go away personally id like to see deadpool go against black tom and juggernaut thats one of my favorite deadpool issuesit doesnt make sense but could later flow into an x-men match up it could be awesome could be dumb who knows but all i know is no one on this planet has the sense to act totally insane on camera better then Ryan Reynolds the mans a genius hate or appreciate the fact but hes amazing and doesnt look bad swinging dual katanas around
