Yes, I know it's not a comic book movie, but it is a book adaptation, and the word "Book" is in the name comicbookmovie. So haha......................................................................

Alright, so I saw this film yesterday. I was pumped to see it since I first heard about it.

This is how I review these kind of things
Soild - Great
Solidus - Okay
Liquid - Bad

*Story - Solidus

*Visual Effects - Solid(Not as solid as Avatar, but still solid)

*Acting - Solid(I loved the Red Queen, I think she was the best actor in this film)

Action - Solidus(It's not exactly an action-driven film, if that's what you guys are looking for)

Humor - Solidus( I really expected some very funny moments, but the reality was this was a dark interpretaion of the Alice franchise. Oh well)

Johnny Depp's preformance in the film - Solidus

Overall - Solidus

I really expected a strong, mind-blowing preformance by Depp, but it seemed like the Red Queen was the real talent. Unfortunately, Alice didn't deliver quite like I hoped.

Should you see it? If you want something different from the old cartoon and want to see a movie that's strange and freaky. It's a good family movie. Teens, such as myself(Only 18 though), will like it, Adults will probably only be satisfied by the fact that they got to see a differnet kind of Wonderland.

Would I see it again? Probably not. Was it worth the $6? I would say so. Would I buy it on DVD? Good chance I will.

That's it. Thanks for reading.

I agree with you on all of it. I enjoyed it, but it could have been better

@Teabag: Well, it's funny you should say that. My mom hated the last Alice films and didn't want to see it at all, while my dad was dying to see it. They saw it. My mom liked the film while, my dad, not so much.

@BlackAirs87: Yes, sadly there are better Tim Burton films. This one was okay, but it wasn't the best Burton film yet.

Interesting review. I like how you broke it down but what's with the word solidus? You know it is just the latin word for solid so you are kind of repeating yourself. LOL :D

My daughter saw it and kind of had the same reaction. She also said she didn't like the blatant use of 3D with the old school coming at you tricks. She said Burton didn't really do much else with that part.

@DogsofWar: Solidus is the name of the 3rd Snake in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Solid Snake, Liquid Snake, Solidus Snake, Naked Snake, and Big Boss.
I never saw it in 3D but I heard it was not as good.

@DogsofWar: Hahaha, well I'm not much of a gamer either but I do like Metal Gear.
