Disney's MULAN Commences Production - Get Your First Official Look At Liu Yifei As The Titular Heroine
Disney has announced the cameras are now rolling on the upcoming live-action remake of Mulan, and to mark the occasion they've debuted the first image of Chinese actress Liu Yifei as the titular character.
Production on Disney’s live-action Mulan movie is now officially underway, and we have a first look at Liu Yifei (The Forbidden Kingdom, Once Upon a Time) as the young Chinese warrior of the title.
The upcoming remake of the studio's 1998 animated adventure will shoot on locations in New Zealand and China before opening in U.S. theaters on March 27, 2020.
In addition to previously announced supporting cast members Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee and Gong Li, Disney has also revealed that Rosalind Chao (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Cheng Pei-Pei (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and Nelson Lee have joined the production.
