While we've yet to see any official promotional material for
Disney's Jungle Cruise, star Dwayne Johnson has been pretty open with his Instagram account, sharing photos and video snippets from the set. Last week, he shared
a photo of himself alongside co-star Jack Whitehall posing with a huge anaconda.
And now, we've got multiple videos featuring the dynamic trio (Johnson, Whitehall, and Emily Blunt) working out - because as Blunt puts it: "the cast that trains together.. stays together." While the video doesn't actually provide us with a look at the set of
Jungle Cruise, it does give us a glimpse at the natural comedic chemistry shared between the three stars. Most of it involves making fun of Jack Whitehall's scrawny chicken legs.
Johnson actually posted a third video as a surprise to a young fan as part of a Make a Wish. Aside from the touching message in the heartwarming video, you can actually see Johnson in his tattered costume. Clearly, he's in for a big adventure.
Disney's Jungle Cruise is inspired by the Disney attraction of the same name, but plot details regarding this adaptation remain under wraps. Johnson previously compared it to an
Indiana Jones-like adventure. However, in the
production announcement video, Johnson and Blunt described the film as a "love story." Whitehall
will reportedly play the brother of Blunt's character in the movie - "a key role in the storyline."
Disney's Jungle Cruise is slated to arrive in theaters October 2019. We'll likely get plenty of more entertaining behind-the-scenes videos with these three as production continues.
