Since it was announced in 2009, Angelina Jolie has been attached to star in the title role of the live action vision of Maleficent - based on the popular sorceress from the Sleeping Beauty story. Much more recently, Disney hired a director for their take on the story. Now, Jolie herself has suggested that the movie may be her next acting project.

While speaking at a crowded press conference Saturday at the Berlin Film Festival, Jolie brought up Maleficent when asked about the future of her career.

"I haven't acted in two years, and I haven't done anything else since this [In The Land of Blood and Honey]. The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie," said the actress. Jolie also expressed interest in starring in the film a couple months ago, when she said that her kids wanted her to make it.

Robert Stromberg (production designer for Avatar) will helm the project in his directorial debut. Do you think Angelina Jolie is a good choice for the title role in Maleficent? Share your thoughts below in the usual place.
