Since it was announced in 2009, Angelina Jolie has been attached to star in the title role of the live action vision of
Maleficent - based on the popular sorceress from the Sleeping Beauty story. Much more recently, Disney hired a director for their take on the story. Now, Jolie herself has suggested that the movie may be her next acting project.
While speaking at a crowded press conference Saturday at the Berlin Film Festival, Jolie brought up
Maleficent when asked about the future of her career.
"I haven't acted in two years, and I haven't done anything else since this [In The Land of Blood and Honey]. The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie," said the actress. Jolie also expressed interest in starring in the film a couple months ago, when she said that her kids wanted her to make it.
Robert Stromberg (production designer for
