Doctor Strange was released in 2016 to positive reviews, and Benedict Cumberbatch's Sorcerer Supreme has since made a huge impact in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A highlight in the movie was seeing Stephen Strange get to grips with the Cloak of Levitation, but that could have looked a whole lot different in the Marvel Studios produced origin story.
As you can see below, Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding has revealed an earlier design for the character's big screen debut, and that showcases both an alternate costume and Cloak for the reluctant member of The Avengers.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was recently pushed further into 2021, but the future is looking bright for the hero in the MCU, especially as that sequel is expected to be a game-changer for this shared world (it's also possible he'll appear in WandaVision).
