DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS: Disney+ Teases An Appearance From [SPOILER]

We're still being careful about spoilers just in case, but Marvel Studios has now teased a possible appearance from a certain character in Doctor Strange 2 via an official Disney+ Twitter account.

Marvel Studios tends to be careful not to reveal/confirm too much about upcoming MCU projects, but it looks like they're being a bit more relaxed about Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness!

Possible spoilers ahead.

The recent trailer hinted at an appearance from Patrick Stewart's Professor X, while the accompanying posted featured Captain Carter's shield. Now, the official Disney+ Italy Twitter account has leaned into the speculation that Peggy Carter's animated What If...? counterpart will show up in Sam Raimi's sequel.

The Tweet translates to: "It looks like that shield has recently reappeared somewhere... Doesn't that sound like "Madness" to you? Captain Carter and all the episodes of What If...? are waiting for you on Disney Plus!"

This could simply be Disney+ having a bit of fun with the rumor, but something tells us Hayley Atwell will be reprising the role of Sharon Carter in the movie - even if it's just for a brief cameo.

You can have another look at the awesome new trailer below.

In Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron.

The Doctor Strange sequel releases in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2022.

I just hope they don't water down her fight scenes if she has one. What If really set the bar for how MCU fights should look and function. And Captain Carter was doing some crazy combos that made Captain America look like a CW fighter.

@SonOfAGif - well I mean, they do need to keep in mind it's a real person who's only real superpower is basically athleticism. As long as the fights are along the lines of winter soldier, I think it'd be fine.

@Origame - Shang Chi proved fantasy style combat is doable with real stunt actors.

@Origame - In the movies Cap has super strength beyond what he ever had in the comics before that. I First Avenger dude was punching and kicking people 30 feet through the air lol.

Let's see if Hayley Atwell's stunt doubles fight better than Chris Evans' stunt doubles!

Did she kill the Shuma Gorath of her universe? Or is it just one Shuma Gorath that can dimension hop?
Spidey91
Spidey91 - 2/19/2022, 1:21 PM
@JFerguson - we never see her killing that creature, she just pushes it back to its portal. maybe it's the same one, maybe it's not.
Origame

@JFerguson - it's not Shuma gorath in the movie. It's gargantos.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 2/19/2022, 2:24 PM
@JFerguson - There's aren't multiple versions of Shuma Gorath. He's an extradimensional being. He doesn't have variants.

CorndogBurglar - 2/19/2022, 2:25 PM
@Origame - I mean......he looks exactly like Shuma Gorath. Gsrgantos looks a lot different in the comics. He's Shuma Gorath, with Gargantos' name.

@Spidey91 - Didn't Strange Surpreme absorb the tentacle monster? He used it to battle Ultron.
Origame

@CorndogBurglar - it arguably makes more sense for him to be shuma gorath, but no he's officially confirmed to be gargantos. Don't know if it has any significance but we'll wait and seen.

Spidey91 - 2/19/2022, 3:37 PM
@SonOfAGif - I think he just absorbed some of its tentacles, not all of it.

Beef cake Peggy lol, also has anyone seen the new Texas Chainsaw movie on Netflix? For me, it was so bad that I had a great time! The deaths are actually top notch, the rest well... and the script was written by a rock and it's definitely paint by the numbers. But still so stupid it's watchable lol

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - I said the same thing. I heard people cheering like "That's right" after that line. I'm like, The woman literally enslaved men women and children mentally, and physically. She held an entire town hostage. Not because she was trying to save the world, or help a friend, but because she couldn't deal with her emotions.

WB and Ray Fisher go at each other

https://deadline.com/2022/02/ray-fisher-responds-to-warner-bros-black-history-month-tweet-fans-set-istandwithrayfisher-trending-1234957136/

I mean, it’s pretty funny that they did a Black History Month tweet celebrating some of their “favorite” black DC heroes and left Cyborg out of it. But having the former federal judge who conducted the investigation that Fisher demanded make a statement was new to me.

@Chewtoy - isn’t Ray the one that didn’t want the black character to be looked at as a black guy cause he felt “booyah” was beneath him ? Even though that’s the cyborg catchphrase and no where near limited to a black person saying it
