Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness promises to take us on a wild ride, and some new promo art from the movie has now been revealed. These standees should start arriving in stores imminently and offer a closer look at Stephen Strange's mysterious Variants (well, two of them, anyway).
We see the Strange that appears to be the "Supreme" Variant from What If...? along with Defender Strange, a take on the character who is believed to be a little more heroic in nature.
Elsewhere, we see the Scarlet Witch, America Chavez, Rintrah, Master Mordo (also believed to be a Variant rather than the one we met in 2016's Doctor Strange), and Sorcerer Supreme Wong. We're anticipating seeing many more characters than this in the sequel, of course, but they're likely to be kept under wraps until much closer to when it arrives in theaters later this year.
In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Marvel Cinematic Universe unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. We'll journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.
The movie's cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Loki Head Writer Michael Waldron.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on May 6.
