During the Super Bowl earlier this month, Marvel Studios released a new trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, a 30-second TV spot was broadcast on television, and it's only just now been officially released. Featuring some intriguing new snippets of footage, we now have an HD look at Defender Strange, the blood-splattered Scarlet Witch, and more.

That definitely appears to be the Marvel Zombies Doctor Strange Variant, though we wouldn't be at all surprised if there's a twist in the tale there. Rachel McAdams' mysterious character is also featured, and we'd be willing to bet that theories this is Clea and not Christine Palmer are correct.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness producer Richie Palmer recently talked about the significance of the sequel's title in an interview with D23 Magazine. While it's certainly catchy, it does have a deeper meaning. "We honor each definition of the word 'madness' in this movie," he explains. "For example, it's not just the craziness of what an alternate universe might look like, feel like, or sound like. When you see that there are infinite versions of yourself across infinite universes and you're a different person in them different facets of you rise to the top."

"Maybe Stephen meets a few of these guys and wonders, "Oh, am I capable of what that person's capable of? Are they capable of what I'm capable of?" And that can be maddening. Seeing other versions of yourself make decisions that you would not make can, for better or worse, be maddening- whether that's for Doctor Strange, for Wanda, or for any of our characters."

"Sometimes the scariest monsters are the ones that dwell within us," Palmer continued. "And with the Multiverse, maybe some versions of us are more monstrous than others."

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released in theaters on May 6.
