Marvel Studios released terrific new trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness just before the Super Bowl got underway, and if your attention was mainly focused on the exciting new footage, you may have missed an intriguing detail on the accompanying poster.
The one-sheet features the Master of the Mystic Arts (Benedict Cumberbatch) surrounded by shards of glass representing the many facets of the Multiverse, and several other characters can be glimpsed, including America Chavez, Scarlet Witch, and Mordo. There are also some Variants, and while she's not actually shown, What If...? hero Captain Sharon Carter's shield can clearly be seen on one of the shards.
We've heard rumors that Hayley Atwell will debut as a live-action take on Captain Carter in the movie, and this would appear to confirm her involvement. It could just be a little Easter Egg to get fans talking, but we doubt it!
The trailer also confirmed (well, all-but) that Patrick Stewart will return as Professor Xavier. What other surprises does this insane-looking sequel have in store for us?
