I love 80's movies, and there's some stars in those movies that I wish I could cast but they've gotten too old.. so, the only way to cast them is to go back to 80's! I figure I'll keep my Teen Titans trend going by casting those crazy superheroes! finding pictures for this was pretty hard...
Matthew Broderick as Robin
Of course the main Titan has to come first! And who better to lead this cast then 80's superstar Matthew Broderick!? I loved Broderick in all of his stuff, the one thing that stands out in the 80's has to be the hit 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' but he was also excellent in War Games, which is the movie that convinced me to cast him in the role.
J.J. Cohen as Kid Flash
J.J. was never really a main guy, just a supporter. His biggest role may have came in 'The Principal' where he played a thug. Even then though I could tell this guy was a pretty decent actor and he had the right look for Kid Flash.
Marc Price as Aqualad
Marc Price was the star of one of my favorite movies of the 80's, the crazy out there 'Trick or Treat'. Price never got much after that, but he should've! Just seeing that picture of him made me think Aqualad, so I want to give Marc the break he should've gotten!
Phoebe Cates as Wonder Girl
Phoebe Cates... everyones crush of the 80's! She's likely best known for her scene in Fast Times At Ridgemont High where she takes off her bikini top. What guy didn't love that? Seriously though, Cates was pretty talented, she was excellent in Gremlins!
Judd Nelson as Speedy
Speedy has always been the badass of the Titans, so who better to choose then the biggest badass of the 80's? That's what he was most known for at least as John Bender in the iconic 'Breakfast Club'. Judd had amazing range though as he showed in 'St. Elmo's Fire' later playing the complete opposite of his Bender character. Truley one of the greatest/underrated actors of the 80's.
Lea Thompson as Lillith
Lea Thompson could never do wrong. Back To The Future, The Wild Life, Red Dawn, hell she was even great in Howard The Duck! I think she is definitely good enough that she could pull off the mysterious telepath.
Ken Sagoes as Mal Duncan
Ken Sagoes is likely known for his role in A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 & 4 where he played Kincaid, that character was a strong offensive kind of guy, just like Mal first was. It's safe to say Ken can play this type of character fine.
Courtney Thorne-Smith as Bette Kane / Bat-girl
You'll remember Courtney's 80's work mostly from 'Summer School' which was great fun. She played a great teen in that, and also in the short lived 'Fast Times' series (based on the Ridgemont High movie). The blonde bombshell would work well in the role of Bette Kane.
William Zabka as Golden Eagle
Golden Eagle was the Titan with the long golden locks, who better to portray him in an 80's movie then thee greatest blonde haired man of the 80's, the great movie villain known as William Zabka. Sure, Eagle is a hero and that's not usually Zabka's thing, but let's face it, he's the man! He can make anything work. Besides, we know he works well as apart of a team. He'll definitely sweep the leg if Robin tells him to.
Ralph Macchio as Beast Boy
Yes, another Karate Kid legend, in fact the Karate Kid himself! No, no, not Jaden Smith! Ralph Macchio was a great teen actor in his day. Beast Boy grew up as sort of an outsider, and heck, Macchio played a greaser in the movie adaptation of 'The Outsiders'! I was inspired to pick him while watching that actually, I originally chose C. Thomas Howell (Pony Boy in The Outsiders) as Beast Boy but realized Ralph Macchio was a much better actor.
Alexandra Paul as Starfire
Alexandra Paul played that girl in Christine. The movie may have been just alright, but for some reason her performance stuck out to me. She may not have really been anything special but when looking for my Starfire she was certainly the first one that came to mind.
Ellie Cornell as Terra
Aside from Danielle Harris who was too young at this point I thought she was definitely the best in Halloween 4, just based on the picture above I can see her as Terra. She's ran from a murder I'm sure she can play a rebel like Terra.
BONUS:
Matt Dillon & Anthony Michael Hall as Hawk & Dove
Of course Dillon is Hawk and Hall is Dove. Dillon could always play a aggressive kind of guy while Hall is a great easy going or "nerdy" type guy like Dove. I don't know how these guys would work together, but who knows, it could work, both are great alone and work well in group movies.
Duane Davis as Cyborg
While I haven't seen Davis in much it's obvious that he has a excellent look for Cyborg! He can be a very serious yet kind of funny at the same time guy which is really the perfect Cyborg. (Thanks to MaddMonk for the only pic on the internet of Duane Davis during this time period and such!)
