Breakfast with a Superhero

Money wise it is cemented that " The Avengers " and the movies for each hero involved have made themselves quite a bit of cash. And a lot of that cash of course is going to be given to Disney. This year we are planning our first family trip to Disney World, with more to come each year. We have mapped out everything we are going to do, from finding Disney princesses for my daughters to get their autograph books signed to getting them dressed up like a Disney princess to have dinner with one.
This with all the rides, great food and hotel, I didn't even think about anything else until I remember the article posted about the avengers monorail that will hopefully still running when we arrive. As I looked at all the places we were going my daughter asked if I was going to get a autograph book to get my favorite characters to sign? I was thinking, Captain Hook, Stitch... Then she stopped me and said " no daddy, Captain America, Ironman,...and since we get to have dinner with Cinderella, maybe we can have breakfast with the avengers? ".
I know this isn't a new idea, probably far from it. And I am sure with the success of the films, marketing and the fan base of Marvel in general that Disney is planning on making a Marvel park in Disneyworld. So if they did, or they are... What are some of the things that they should do? And some of the tongs they shouldn't? I'd love a Marvel themed Hotel, rides of course. Characters walking around just like the princesses would be great as well. So if you were going to visit Disney world, what would you like to see? What would your kids like to see?

I live near Orlando. I don't go to Disney or Universal too often, but I do make more trips to theme parks than most people in America.
Anyways, I believe the monorail is still up. One of my friends went to Disney, two weeks ago, and she was telling me about it. Also, another friend was telling me that Disney bought the land underneath Universal's Marvel Superhero Land. I don't know if that is true, but it's an interesting thought.

I think it would be great if they could incorporate it somehow. We are very excited, and I would be so happy to get my girls just as excited about seeing Marvel characters as they are Disney princesses.

First of all, Golden123, your friend is a little confused. Thank you for the laugh though. Disney owns Marvel. That does not mean they own the land under Marvel Island at Universal, LMAO!!! It just means they own the rights to the licensing of the characters.

Second, we have annual passes to Disney and, yes, the Avengers monorail is still running. However seeing it is another thing. It runs on the resort line, so it is a little hard to spot. If you are staying in a monorail resort, you will have no problem. Last time I went, a week ago, I saw it once and didn't see it again. (I think they were having problems with it and stopped running it that day.) But it is AWESOME!!!! I don't know why they don't wrap all the monorails.

They have said they are going to start incorporating Marvel stuff into the parks soon, but have not said which park. Seeing as how we got totally screwed out of Cars Land and Islands of Adventure already has Marvel Island, I don't have high hopes for Disney World getting much. If they do, I can see a really good roller coaster at Hollywood Studios (although beating The Hulk coaster is gonna be hard to do!!). I think the Marvel characters would fit best there. I would totally go to "Breakfast with a Hero." Here is an article from Forbes when they announced it: http://www.forbes.com/sites/johngaudiosi/2012/05/08/disney-confirms-the-avengers-2-movie-theme-park-rides-games/.

This is at the end of the article. I could cry!

"In the United States, Marvel characters would probably be restricted to Disneyland or Disney California Adventure on the West Coast. Universal's Islands of Adventure has exclusive rights to use Marvel characters in Florida, prohibiting the superheroes from appearing at any of the four parks in the Disney World resort."

That is horrible! What a shame.

Yeah. I'm pretty bummed. Hollywood Studios has all the Pixar characters, so I guess that kinda makes up for it, lol! I hope you have an awesome trip!! We use our annual passes as often as we can and absolutely love it!! I have an almost 3 year old and he is a total theme park pro now. His favorites are the Buzz Lightyear ride at the Magic Kingdom and the Nemo Ride/Living Seas at Epcot. My favorite is the car stunt show at Hollywood Studios.
