Fan Made: Auditioning Lines For Future Marvel Project

A listing of the auditioning lines for my new Marvel fan made project.

Below are a list of random lines in a variety of different accents that I may be able to use in an upcoming project. Attempt all of the lines that you feel comfortable in attempting in all of the accents that you want to attempt.

If you have an accent that is not listed below please feel free to try it out using either one of the lines listed below or an original line of dialogue of your choosing. I will select the best voice actor for whichever character I feel may suit you best.

Please believe me when I say this, though. I do not intend to run out of the need for voice actors any time soon and truly believe that as long as you are believable in your role I can find a place for everyone.

When reading your lines feel free to try and read the same line in different ways. Maybe read the line once as being very cold and stone hard and then try it again as playing the character more arrogant or soft spoken. Try it as many ways as you like.

The one thing I do suggest...do NOT play it 'over the top'. I want my characters to be real and not 'comic booky'. When I say this I simply mean I want the speech patterns to come off as serious and not seem like they come from a cheesy old movie. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to participate in this

Male (Any and all accents):
(Aggressive but subtle)
You have lived above the people for too long. You have threatened my people with your weapons and technology. Today your reign of power ends.

English Male:
(Angry but not screaming. Arrogance in the voice)
My sister and I shall not work for a tyrant. You say you want only what is best for our people but your actions only put us in harms way. Our debt to you is paid!

English Male:
(Someone who’s not use to being thankful.)
My sister and I…are in your debt. We have been outcasts our entire lives. Running from one place to another, never truly fitting in. We tire of this life and we shall be no man’s pawns. We are…thankful for your acceptance of us. You shall not regret this.

Thor:
(Anger and ready for battle)
Thou would test my might? Truly thou doth not comprehend that thy faces the son of Odin. But if thou wishes to test me then I shall oblige thee! (As if charging at enemy) For Asgard!!!

Bruce Banner:
(Depressed)
This…thing that’s inside of me. I can’t control it. Everywhere I go I cause destruction. This monster inside of me hasn’t only ruined my life but the lives of those that I care about. I have to find a way to end this once and for all.

Hank Pym/Ant-Man/Giant Man:
(Very brainy. Worried about what’s happening with his experiments)
Science never solves a problem without creating ten more. Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power. We have guided missiles and misguided men. Men love to wonder and that is the seed of science.

Tony Stark:
(Angry at the problems his weapons have caused)
I shouldn’t be alive…unless it was for a reason. I’m trying to protect the people I’ve put in harm’s way. There is nothing except this. There's no art opening, no charity, nothing to sign. There's the next mission, and nothing else. I'm not crazy. I just finally know what I have to do. And I know in my heart that it's right.

Hulk:
(Calm but angry)
Soldiers always attack Hulk. Hulk only want to be left alone. Hulk smash puny humans. HULK SMASH! (Sad) Betty…afraid. Hulk make Betty sad. Hulk leave now.

Female:
(American, Southern, Boston, New York, Jersey, German, English, French, Russian, Hispanic, African)
You can’t tell me that you truly believe this is a good idea? We’re talking about risking hundreds of lives. Innocent people with families and friends! I can’t just let you stand here and do this. I WON’T let you do this!

Female:
(Any and all accents)
(Heroic female)
Alright, you’ve had your fun, doomy but this ends here! I think it’s time someone put you in a little time out! You should have known that at least ONE super hero was going to come knocking on your door. I mean come on, it’s a given. If you threaten the world you’re practically begging for someone dressed in tights to show up at your door!

Female:
(Any and all accents)
(Villainess)
I wondered when you were going to show up. You don’t seem capable of resisting a call to arms. You’re so ready to throw yourself into danger. You fell into my trap as easily as a fly into the spider’s web. And now here you are, on your knees before your better. Before your superior. I promise you this, before the day is out you shall scream for me.

Any villain audition either now or upcoming?

Yes! Show your skills off in the video/audio you send. If you want to make up some lines for a particular character go for it. Not saying who I need for right now, just wanting to get a good idea of the voices available to me then I'll match the voice with the character.

I am very interested in giving you some samples of voice acting I have to offer. I am a huge marvel fan and would take this extremely serious as well as put lots of energy and emotion into it. Please let me know what I need to do because I would love to help you out.

Also, can I improvise?

Hmmm... I'll get back to you. I'm an impressionist and I've got a friend working on a webseries that he wants me in so there may be a clash.

@Jonge On my first comment (top comment) there is a link to an article that tells you exactly how to go about submitting an audition audio/video. It's in an easy step by step process. It's as simple as that!

@V8ER Sure. Feel free to improvise. I suggest doing a few takes on each line you read though. One more angry, the other more dark/calm/cold.

@NovaCorpsFan Alright, man. Just let me know.

@CharlesLord Great, man! Never hurts to at least try the others out!

@DrDoom Can't stress enough; if you try and aren't TERRIBLE I will find some kind of role for you. Here's a suggestion; when reading your part don't go too fast. My high school drama teacher told me once that when acting you should always go a little bit slower than you would in real life. Try that out!

I'm going to send you an audition for Loki and Dormammu. I don't know if you have plans for those characters, but at least it will get you an idea of my abilities
WingHead
WingHead - 10/1/2013, 8:15 PM
@Mcott You sent Loki and Thor, correct? If it's not you then ignore that. Can't wait to hear from you!

WingHead - 10/1/2013, 8:16 PM
Also, I don't know why people would think this would matter but I've gotten this question a few times so I will clear it up. It does not matter if you are not from the U.S. You can still audition and be apart of the project. I can find a spot for any accent no matter where you are from in the world.

quick question, do you want seperate recordings for each part or can I just throw all of them into one recording? It might be a bit much if we can try them multiple times.
WingHead
WingHead - 10/2/2013, 11:06 AM
@CharlesLord Whichever works best for you. I don't mind it being a long recording.
NovaCorpsFan
NovaCorpsFan - 10/2/2013, 11:54 AM
I'm gonna be filming all year. If you're still going on with this by the end of 2015 I'll send in an audition tape.

Or you could watch the webseries, lol.

Hmm.. I'mn contemplating auditioning for one of the female parts, but all I can really do is my natural English accent. Also i've never really done anything before in the way of acting except stage shows, so.. it'll certainly be a first for me :')

Might give it a shot though. :o
WingHead
WingHead - 10/5/2013, 3:41 PM
@Lonelybluewolf It's like I've been saying, I give everyone a part. I am looking for some more female roles. Have some big parts that need filled. What's the harm in trying?
