In a attempt to break into the comic industry, I am currently working on a
COLOR portfolio to send to various comic companies. I have been drawing since I
was in the fourth grade and am now a tattoo artist, but recently I have taken a break from tattooing for a while to purley concentrait on coloring comic pages and splash pages and comic covers. I am a good artist, but could never compare my work to the greats in the industry like Michael Turner,David Finch, Frank Quietly and so fourth, but I have noticed my coloring work getting better and better.
So I thought why not send out my work and roll the dice!
I am currently using a BAMBOO TOUCH and PEN and working through Photoshop Element 7, those are the tools I have right now and will be upgrading shortly.
Now I have several different styles, editors love to see a variety of styles and they also like to see that you can color sequential art, and splash pages and so fourth. My coloring style ranges from, simple, to very detailed..at least I hope.
Remember I did NOT draw or INK any of these pictures, I just COLORED them.
Anyway here is just a taste of what I can do and what I am submitting.
ALL Pictures are WATERMARKED, please don't STEAL THEM!
All I am asking for are you're honest opinions.
Editors: PLEASE DO NOT RESIZE THESE PICTURES I WANT TO SO OFF THE DETAIL.
Also note that these coloring need some tweaking, I already know that..I need
to know if I'm heading in a GOOD direction with my coloring, or do I suck? LOL
Here are some of my SIMPLE, SEQUENTIAL colorings.
