TheIncredibleHulksta: Hi Marc, how are you today?
Marc Webb: Great man, how are you?

TheIncredibleHulksta: Awesome, thanks for taking the time to sit with me today. You're a popular name in the Comic Book Movie community, and your movie, The Amazing Spider-Man is one of the most revered. I wanted to ask you a few questions if you don't mind.
Marc Webb: Yeah, let's hear what you have for me.

TheIncredibleHulksta: Cool. So what drew you to Spider-Man in the first place?
Marc Webb: Well, I grew up with Spider-Man and I know him like he was my brother, so you know it made sense to make a movie and explore his origins in a fresh and exciting way.

TheIncredibleHulksta: Yeah, fresh and exciting. You certainly took some liberties.
Marc Webb: Well, for instance we didn't have Uncle Ben say the famous line "With Great Power Comes....Comes..."

TheIncredibleHulksta: "Great Responsibility"
Marc Webb: Yeah! That's it. You know as a Spider-Man fan I felt like that is not really all to important to the Spider-Man mythos. We can relate those ideas without being too direct.

TheIncredibleHulksta: I see. A common complaint with the movie is the design of your villain, Curt Conners AKA The Lizard. What did you do for research into the villain?
Marc Webb: Steve Ditko

TheIncredibleHulksta: What about Todd McFarlane?
Marc Webb: You mean Seth MacFarlane?

TheIncredibleHulksta: No, Todd MacFarlane, someone who drew art for many seminal Spider-Man books. His design of the Lizard is some of his best work.
Marc Webb: Well, it didn't tonally fit with the story we wanted to tell.

TheIncredibleHulksta: I see. How much did Microsoft pay you to show Peter using Bing?
Marc Webb: What do you mean? Bing is the best!

TheIncredibleHulksta: Bing is not the most common search tool
Marc Webb: Peter wants to not follow the same trends everyone else follows, so by using Bing he's being different.

TheIncredibleHulksta: Hmm. So you did do a good job with the quips.
Marc Webb: You liked that eh.

TheIncredibleHulksta: Sure. So, if Peter wears a mask to hide his identity, why did he take it off a lot throughout the movie.
Marc Webb: Umm...

TheIncredibleHulksta: Did Garfield just not like the mask?
Marc Webb: No, no. It's just, we paid so much for Garfield we needed to use him as much as possible. The mask reduced the amount of times we could show his face.

TheIncredibleHulksta: So Peter is supposed to be brilliant, do you think you portrayed that well in the movie?
Marc Webb: Peter does figure out the formula Conners was looking for. I think that shows he knows what he's doing.

TheIncredibleHulksta: No, he stole it.
Marc Webb: Wait, did he?

TheIncredibleHulksta: Yeah.
Marc Webb: Well, he is pretty smart.

TheIncredibleHulksta: How?
Marc Webb: Umm, I really don't know.

TheIncredibleHulksta: Sorry to hear that. So you're almost ready to release the sequel. What lessons have you learned from the first movie?
Marc Webb: Well, you get the origin out of the way, now we can move to the juicy stuff.

TheIncredibleHulksta: That's not a lesson learned.
Marc Webb: We have Electro in this one, and Rhino!

TheIncredibleHulksta: Yes, I saw the pics, but what about improving on the first movie.
Marc Webb: The first movie is probably the best Spider-Man movie ever made. I know one person who would agree with me. So really, it's just about keeping up with what we're currently doing.

TheIncredibleHulksta: I'd say I'm excited, but that's a lie.
Marc Webb: Thanks for chatting with me. Will you see The Amazing spider-Man 2 when it releases May 2nd, 2014?

TheIncredibleHulksta: No, I think I have plans to get drunk and watch the Raimi Spider-Man movies again.
Marc Webb: Thanks for your support!
