Iron Fist - My Film Plot + a Fan Cast

My version of what i would do if i was making an Iron Fist movie. Includes a fan cast. I haven't seen alot of fanfic relating to Iron Fist in a while, so i decided to post this.

So, if i was making an Iron Fist movie, it would be like this (The General Outline) -
I tried to stay close to the comics, but also wanted to put my own spin on it, so here it is.
Also, i'm not sure how good my whole creative writing skills are, so if they're not that good, could you please tell me in the nicest way possible. No hate messages please? Thanks.

First i'll start with the fan cast.

Garrett Hedlund - Daniel Rand aka Iron Fist

Ok, i know almost everyone says that Ray Park should be Iron Fist, and it's not that i necessarily disagree with them, but i think Garrett could pull off the acting side of Daniel Rand and Iron Fist perfectly. Plus, this version is a much more younger version of Iron Fist. Alot of people also say that they should get a martial artist to play him, but couldn't you just share the role like they did with Deadpool in X-Men? Anyways, i chose Hedlund largely because of Tron and i think he's a great actor.

Danny Huston - Harold Meachum

Already played a Marvel character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and did pretty good at it. I think he'd be great playing in a minor, yet vital role to the Iron Fist movie.

Rick Yune - Davos aka Steel Serpent

Already a martial artist, and played a villain in the first Fast and Furious movie. This is all helps make it an easier decision to choose him as the main protagonist in the Iron Fist movie. (Ironically, he's in a movie next year called "The Man with the Iron Fist")

Jet Li - Yu-Ti

I know he's on almost everyones fan cast for Iron Fist as either Yu-Ti, or Lei Kung, but i have to say, i can't argue with the fact he'd be great as Yu-Ti.

Jean Claude Van Damme - Lei Kung the Thunderer

Already a martial artist, so this would probably be an easy role for him as Iron Fists' trainer.

Patrick Stewart - Wendell Rand

May be a bit too old for the role, but i still like him anyways. A great actor and is more recently known for playing Professor Xavier in the X-Men franchise. I still think he'd be good playing Daniels' father and the first man who discovered K'un-L'un.

Melissa Leo - Heather Duncan

Was great in "The Fighter" and got an Oscar to prove it. A great actress who would be great playing Daniel's mother, even though it is a small role.

Malin Akerman - Joy Meachum

Was in "Watchmen" and did very good in it in my opinion. In this movie, she has a very small role but that should change if there is a sequel(s).

Here's the plot for my "Iron Fist" movie:

IRON FIST

Daniel Rand is the son of a wealthy businessman – Wendell Rand who claims to have discovered a mystical city named K’un-L'un years ago. He claims that a portal opens for the city once every ten years and the next opening is approaching soon. Although he is seen as almost crazy for his beliefs by the public, a young Daniel enjoys his dad’s stories and is excited to seek the city out soon.

Daniel, along with his father, his mother Heather Duncan, and his father’s business partner, Harold Meachum set up the Himalayans to find K’un-Lun. On the way up, Daniel slips, and his tie rope takes his parents with him. Crying to Harold for help, his father soon falls to his death when Harold refuses to help him up. He offers Heather his help, but she refuses, wanting to go on without him or die.

An angered Harold leaves, and an upset Heather eventually gains enough force to get back to the mountain and pull Daniel back up. She holds him in her arms for a short moment, mourning over Wendell’s death when a bridge suddenly appears out of nowhere. They slowly make their way there, Daniel thinking it is K’un-Lun. However, they are soon surrounded by a pack of wolves, and Heather sacrifices herself for Daniel’s escape when she throws herself at the wolves. K’un-Lun archers soon attempt to kill the wolves but are too late and Heather is already dead by the time they manage to thwart the wolves off.

The archers soon take Daniel in and take him to K’un-Lun, where he reveals himself as the son of Wendell Rand. They are in awe of this and soon call Yu-Ti, the ruler of K’un-Lun, who acknowledges his presence. Daniel confesses that he is in shock and is upset but wishes to go back and finds Harold and get “vengeance”. Although Yu-Ti admires his passion, he knows he is not ready. He takes him to Lei-Kung, who Daniel calls “the Thunderer”, who will teach him the art of martial arts to prepare him for his return to Earth.

Daniel becomes friends with Davos, Lei-Kung’s son and in time becomes the best student in his class. He conditions his fists by plunging them in hard materials such as rocks and gravel.

10 YEARS LATER

Daniel is now truly the best student the Thunderer has ever taught. He has become a respected citizen of K’un-Lun but the day for his return to Earth is coming soon. He is given a chance to become the next in a great line of warriors, who call themselves “Iron Fist”. To accomplish this, he is told he must defeat Shou-Lao the Undying, a giant serpent who hides the power of Iron Fist in a brazier in the shape of a molten heart.

Daniel holds his own in the fight, and soon comes into contact with a scar on Shou-Lao’s body, which engraves a dragon shape on his chest. He soon defeats Shou-Lao, and finds the molten heart, and plunges his fists into it, gaining the power of the Iron Fist.

He is congratulated by all of K’un-Lun, but Yu-Ti confirms that if he is returning to Earth, he must leave now. He says good-bye to everyone he knows, and is given the garb of the Iron Fist by Yu-Ti, and returns to Earth to find Harold Meachum.

He eventually finds him, handicapped with no legs due to frostbite he suffered from when he left Heather and Daniel. He says he knew that this day would come, and welcomes Daniel to kill him. However, Iron Fist thinks that he is suffering more for living than he would if he killed him, and decides to leave him.

However, once Daniel leaves, Harold is soon killed by a mysterious ninja. He is found by Joy Meachum, his daughter, who blames Iron Fist for his death, thinking he was responsible.

Joy tips the police force that Daniel Rand killed her father, and soon he becomes wanted by the NYPD. He tries to tell them that he visited Harold but did not kill him. The police force attacks him, but Daniel easily fends them off with the power of the Iron Fist.

The ninja who killed Harold soon attacks Iron Fist, and is about to kill him when Daniel manages to get free of his grip. They have an epic fight to the death, and Daniel soon finds out that it is Davos – son of the Thunderer. Davos says that he resented him for ever even coming to K’un-Lun and snuck out of it (K’un-Lun) after Daniel had left. He calls himself the Steel Serpent.

Although Daniel wishes to not fight the man he called his best friend, Steel Serpent attacks him, using the same power as Iron Fist. He reveals he absorbed his power, and starts using it against him.

Daniel doesn’t have his power anymore, but continues to fight Steel Serpent using the martial arts he was taught. His natural ability proves to be too much for Steel Serpent’s powers, and he defeats him, gaining his powers back once Davos is unconscious.

A bruised and battered Daniel soon realizes that his name has been cleared thanks to a cop who saw the whole fight and videotaped it. He is asked by the cops to become a detective for the force, almost like a secret weapon but he declines, stating that he’ll instead exact vengeance where he thinks it is due.

The last scene of the move shows a news station covering a drug bust. They show footage of a man being taken into a police car. His head is covered, but the towel covering it soon falls off and we see his face. The reporter says his name is “Luke Cage”.

END

That's it. What'd you think? Leave comments below (Unless they're hate comments - if they are - don't bother please!)

Also, i know i left some pretty important characters such as Master Khan and Misty Knight (although she was the cop who cleared his name) out for the most part, but if i decide to do a sequel(s), then they will be brought in.

You know, I just had this interesting idea for who could play Iron Fist: Kellan Lutz? I saw the trailer for Arena (co-starring Nick Fury himself, Samuel L. Jackson), and the guy was throwing some sick martial arts stunts. He did the same thing in a behind-the-scenes shoot for Men's Fitness. Check these videos out, because I think they prove that the man can nail Iron Fist, as well as the personality. And he's younger than Garrett Hedlund (my pick for Nova).

@123Avengers123 - Thanks, appreciate it!

@RoadDogXXIV - Before i saw those videos i probably wouldnt have agreed with Kellan Lutz, but those kind of change my mind. I'm not sure if he's a good actor though, all i know he's in is the Twilight movies and i haven't seen those. I still like Garrett Hedlund though.

Take a cue from MistressKizuna: ignore the fact that he's in Twilight.

Really good job.

I'd hope if there's a 'sequel' we could involve the Immortal Weapons- aka Fat Cobra, Bride of Nine Spider's, Tiger's Beautiful Daughter, Dog Brother #1 and John Aman/Prince of Orphans.

I like Garrett Hedlund but I would cast Devon Sawa as Iron Fist. He is great on Nikita and does martial arts on there I think he would be great.

@RoadDog - Ok haha, he does have the Danny Rand look too!

@headlopper - Thanks! I was thinking of putting Master Khan in the sequel, but the Immortal Weapons would be a good choice too. I'll have to think about it!!

@Mrsuperheromoviefan - Thanks man!

@Darkclaw0 - Appreciate it!

@ Lewis25 - Hadn't heard of him until you pointed him out, haven't seen his acting but he definetly does have a Daniel Rand look.
