Entertainment Weekly have lifted the lid on what we can expect from not only Lex Luthor in the DC sequel, but his first screen interaction with the Justice League themselves. First they confirm that Superman will indeed give "birth" to the hatred Lex bears (who will start off as an ally towards the Justice League at the start of the film) when he is witnessed by Lex a God among men. The problem is, Lex Luthor was once the seen as the Man Of Tomorrow -- and the genius chooses to set fourth his plan that proves superheroes are the world's worst problem, and can be described as an evil version of Bruce Wayne. “It’s not the good version that could’ve come from [Wayne's] intellect and personality,” says Gal Gadot, “It’s the evil twin.” The site then set the scene for the heroes' first battle with Lex Luthor, which takes place as they party together at the new Justice League HQ.
"Wayne sees the soiree as a chance for the Justice League to schmooze with the city’s powerbrokers in a terrified environment, showing that they are not merely superpowered vigilantes. Half-filled glasses of wine, bottles of beer, and partially eaten plates of sushi and cookies litter the tables in this three-story marble and steel structure, constructed entirely within the soundstage—complete with a loading dock for the Javelin and an upstairs laboratory for Wayne and Lex Luthor (Bryan Cranston) to blind themselves with science. Diana (Gal Gadot) has put aside the sword and armor for a mini-skirt and heels, while Black Canary has swapped her leathery catsuit for an empire-waist cocktail dress with a billowing skirt. Oliver looks a little uptight in his purple button-down and tweedy jacket, while Miles Teller's Blue Beetle is in wallflower mode, lingering on the periphery by himself, ever the loner. Henry Cavills’ Clark Kent is making small talk with former Wayne Enterprises employee Lucius Fox (David Gyasi). Most of the partygoers have left; now it’s just the old friends lingering."
And that's when Lex chooses to strike. He and the Legionaries attack, and although the team manage to take care of business easily enough, Lex promises this is just the beginning. “I know you’re ‘good’ people,” he tells the Justice League. “I know you mean well… but you just didn’t think it through…. There is only one path to peace… No more Superheroes.” Pretty cool stuff eh? There's more at the link below too so be sure to head on over to EW to check it out.
