Nightwing:The origins of Dick Grayson would make an Awesome Movie!

We all know the origin Superman we've seen it on T.V and The big Screen. We also know the origin of batman. Great stories nontheless but The greatest story that can ever be told on the big screen could be the Origin of Dick Grayson. The Story of Robin.

Story of Dick Grayson would easily be a least a Three Picture deal for whomever gets the starring role if you want to go the Harry Potter route. This movie would be entertaining for both kids and adults. Kids can relate to his heroism and it would have the dark gritty feel that would appeal to adults.

The first movie would not be a spin-off so I wouldn't expect Christian Bale to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman. This would not be a batman movie. Strictly devoted to telling Dick's Story Which means Bruce Waynes role in this movie though significant wouldn't be big. But I would love to see Bruce Wayne being potrayed by someone with a little bit of star power but not too much. Maybe someone like Adam Baldwin (The voice of Superman in Superman/Doomsday). The first movie would be about his parents being killed in the circus, being adopted by Bruce Wayne, trained and going back to avenge his famiies death. before Batman talks him out of it. knowing that killing wouldn't heal any wounds or stop the pain but preventing people from going through what he went through would make more of a difference. Thus Dick Grayson becomes Batman Sidekick Robin as the Caped Crusaders.

The second movie would be based on the Relationship between Bruce and Dick. A father/son type of a relationship. Where as though Bruce is having a hard time dealing with the fact that Dick is growing up and becoming his own man and making his own decisions that Bruce doesn't always agree with, Which is causing tension between to two Heroes. The older Dick gets, the more he starts to shy away from Bruce. Dick doesn't understand what Bruce is trying to do which is planning to pass the cape and cowl someday to dick. Dick doesn't want that. He wants to be his own man establish his own name. He wants his own Robin Signal He realizes the only way to do so is to break away from Batman himself and go solo.

That third movie starts off with Batman and Robin's last run together before Dick has that talk with Bruce before going solo and becoming Nightwing. By now Dick's in college and is in a new atmosphere. Which means new enemies a new supporting cast and more Importantly NO BATMAN! The Third movie would the beginning of a whole new trilogy. The Nightwing trilogies.

That being said these movie could a load of Cameo Appearances by Batman, Jason Todd, Barbara Gordon, Comissioner Gordon and etc. The story of Dick Grayson would be a great concept for a movie not only because it's a great story but it's action from start to finish. What do think CBM? I really don't have an Idea who could be playing the Role of Dick Grayson. Maybe you guys have Suggestions

i iike it. great job. i too also featured nightwing but in my teen titans spin off. I really enjoy nightwing's story and hes one of my favorite superheroes.
what are your ideas for love interest and villains??
i suggest a crossover with superman and Donna troy being that girl.

Interesting concept. Not sure I agree with minimizing Batman's role though. I think it is more about point of view than anything else. To see Batman from Dick's POV would be somewhat unique.

DC does not have any plans to do so but this would be perfect as past of a film DCU.

Nice Job. I think you could have made it a little more interesting by going more into each movie but not a bad effort at all.

I didn't want to get too in depth with this article because I didn't want to make it too long but I think it would be more exciting with the addition of the Teen Titans. I would love to see deathstroke, blockbuster gang, Blackmask, Amazo some of the classic batman villians. The origins of Dick Grayson would be a hugh story.

They should have spun off Batman into a Nightwing series after the last Batman movie before the current reboot.

More is generally better around here TheKevin. Tossing in some pictures is also pretty much standard practice so you might want to think about that for next time.

Nightwing is one of my favorite characters and he does deserve screen treatment, BUT I think he should on Tv instead. And I think a show about Nightwing would be much better than Smallville and Birds of Prey ( I liked both) Considering once he goes to Bludhaven he becomes a cop I think that would make the show more entertaining and also he has more than enough love interest. I did a fan cast for this a while back

not bad but batman is a huge part in dick's

development he has to have a huge role in

the first film if this were to happen.

second film you could concentrate more on

dick and his transition from robin to nightwing.

i think this would actually work better as a snore

ville type series rather than a few movies.

yeah they were, but it was going to be a series like Smallville about before he became Robin. It would have failed and they scrapped the idea. No one cares about Dick Grayson before he became Robin because he has no powers. it would not have been interesting

thabatman: i agree he'd need to be nightwing

before it would even have a chance.

I wouldn't call it the greatest story ever told on the big screen. But it sure was better than Batman and Robin. Nonch.

Dick's a dick. Worst/lamest DC (hell, comics) character ever.
