Composer: A film score (also sometimes called background music or incidental music) is original music written specifically to accompany a film. The score forms part of the film's soundtrack, which also usually includes dialogue and sound effects, and comprises a number of orchestral, instrumental or choral pieces called cues which are timed to begin and end at specific points during the film in order to enhance the dramatic narrative and the emotional impact of the scene in question. Scores are written by one or more composers, under the guidance of the film's director and/or producer, and are then usually performed by an ensemble of musicians – most often comprising an orchestra or band, instrumental soloists, and choir or vocalists – and recorded by a sound engineer.
Howard Shore (Notable Works: The Cell, The Score, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy): An odd choice I admit but his scores border epic and darkness. He did a fantastic job in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, it took characterization to a new level, but his score for the Cell was a beautiful score of chaos and darkness which makes me wonder how well he could score the characters. With Lord of the Rings he reaches the epic tones of Superman and with The Cell he goes into the inner dark reaches of Batman.
Director: Directors are responsible for overseeing creative aspects of a film under the overall control of the film producer. They often develop the vision for a film and carry out the vision, deciding how the film should look, in other words they make their vision come to life. They are responsible for turning the script into a sequence of shots. They also direct what tone it should have and what an audience should gain from the cinematic experience. Film directors are responsible for deciding camera angles, lens effects and lighting with the help of the cinematographer and set design with the production designer. They will often take part in hiring the cast and key crew members. They coordinate the actors' moves, or blocking and also may be involved in the writing, financing and editing of a film.
Wolfgang Peterson (Notable Works: Enemy Mine, Air Force One, The Perfect Storm): I think he would have been a perfect Director, he did a great partner films with Enemy Mine and The Perfect Storm, with Air Force One he made an iconic piece of cinema history showing that Harrison Ford is the most badass President ever. Having his take on Batman and Superman would have a feast of pure filmmaking wonder and excitement.
Screenwriter: Screenwriters are responsible for researching the story, developing the narrative, writing the screenplay, and delivering it, in the required format, to Development Executives. Screenwriters therefore have great influence over the creative direction and emotional impact of the screenplay and, arguably, of the finished film. They either pitch original ideas to Producers in the hope that they will be optioned or sold, or screenwriters are commissioned by a producer to create a screenplay from a concept, true story, existing screen work or literary work, such as a novel, poem, play, comic book or short story.
Andrew Kevin Walker (Notable Works: Brainscan, Se7en, Sleepy Hollow): He wrote the initial script that got the whole ball rolling. He had a great take on characterization and conflict, admitting he didn't choose the most original of villains but still he turned in something of a great script that could've worked well as a dark super hero film.
Bruce Wayne/Batman (Height: 6' 2", Age: 40's): The Former Dark Knight Detective finally leading a normal life, even getting married. In all manners he's looked to have shed his former life, but when his wife dies the night of their honeymoon vengeance and rage brings Bruce back to the batcave where he becomes the Batman once more, throwing all rules aside sending thugs to the intensive care unit as he goes on a manhunt for the Joker.
James Purefoy (Height: 6' 2", Age: 40 {As of 2004} Notable Works: Tomorrow, A Knight's Tale, Photo Finish): An odd choice, yes. But as an actor James Purefoy has done some very amazing and odd roles. He's definitely a Handsome fellow who i really feel could have been Batman in the 1990's and that's why i cast him. He could have been Batman then, he's the actor who has the talent of capturing the character.
Clark Kent/Superman (Height: 6' 3", Age: 40's): The Iconic Super Hero. Now living a life of depression after going through a gritty divorce with Lois Lane. Now living at the Kent Farm on a forced vacation from the Daily Planet, enjoying the time with his Girlfriend Lana Lang, who's been able to pull him back together for the most part.
Christopher Meloni (Height: 6' 0½", Age: 43 {As of 2004} Notable Works: NYPD Blue {Seasons 1996-1997}, Wet Hot American Summer, Law And Order Special Victims Unit {Seasons 1999-2001}): I've been aching to Cast Meloni as Superman. If it weren't for lack of much experience he'd have had the part for Superman Lives. He's just the perfect actor for it, He can really disappear in a role and he;s played the "Good Guy" styled character often, best when in Law and Order where he really showered how talented he is. I have No doubt in my mind He is Perfect. He has the form, the look, the voice. {Yes admittingly he might have to wear a cover for his hair but that's small compared to how perfect he is for the role}. I could really imagine him being challenged by this role but doing it well and meeting the approval of many fans.
Lex Luthor (Height: 6' 2", Age: 40's-50's): The Bald criminal Mastermind. Having resurrected the Joker {Cloning him} Plotting his greatest scheme by pitting the Two Iconic Heroes against each other!
Kelsey Grammer (Height: 6' 1", Age: 49 {As of 2004} Notable Works: Fraiser {T.V. Series}, Anastasia, Toy Story 2): Another Odd choice but honestly he was originally going to be Lex Luthor for Superman Lives and Armand Assante for this, but because armand was older i switched it. Kesley is an actor who can play intimidation, manipulation, and intelligence like they're natural traits. He's an actor who can gravitate a character and bring an earnest since of control into the mixture. He's got that deep commanding voice to seperate from a his natural rich voice. He would nail the role better than any actor could hope to.
Joker (Height: 6', Age: Unknown): Lean and leathal, in a purple ZOOT SUIT; green-haired white-skinned with a blood red grin. Supposedly returned from the dead with aid of Lex Luthor.
Vincent D'Onofrio (Height: 6' 3½", Age: 45 {As of 2004} Notable Works: Full Metal Jacket, Sherlock {T.V. Movie}, The Cell): Honestly my only real argument is that you should watch his performance in The Cell. His take on Carl Stargher, it was mind blowing, he delved into such a scary maniac, his performance was so authentic, i think his take on the Joker would be an oscar worthy performance. There is not 1 person he wouldn't have scared, that he wouldn't have made afraid of the Joker. I really can't say that there would or will ever be someone that could be as creative and as scary a Joker that Vincent would have been.
Winslow Schott/Toyman (Height: 5'4", Age: 40's-50's): The Supervillain who's been a known accomplice to the Joker acting as his armorer. Now-a-days only having one real arm and a robot arm. He is one of the first suspects Batman interrogates about the Joker's Return.
Eddie Izzard (Height: 5' 7", Age: 42 {As of 2004} Notable Works: Mystery Men, The Cat's Meow, All the Queen's Men): I'm a fan of Eddie, i find him to be a hilarious comedian, and an intriguing actor. He really sold me with his character in Mystery Men that he could play this role.
Elizabeth Miller-Wayne (Height: 5' 7", Age: 30's-40's): Bruce Wayne's Gorgeous bride who falls victim to the Joker. (Note: Elizabeth Miller doesn't exactly exist in the comics, so I used a random image of a DC Character named Elizabeth, but at the moment her last name escapes me.}
Elizabeth Hurley (Height: 5' 8", Age: 339 {As of 2004} Notable Works: Passenger 57, Dangerous Ground, Method): Elizabeth Hurley is an actress I absolutely love, She is an amazing performer who really showed some dynamic talent. I wanted her in this role because it's a small little role to really base the whole movie on, and i think she is talented and easy to love that the audience would absolutely hate her character dying, and the many twists that come with it.
Lana Lang (Height: 5' 7", Age: 40's): A high ranking doctor at Smallville General Hospital, sharing an intimate relationship with Clark, even knowing his Secret, having been the woman to have picked him up after Clark's divorce had shattered him.
Katheryn Erbe (Height: 5' 2", Age: 39 {As of 2004} Notable Works: Stir of Echoes, Oz {Seasons 1998-2003}, Law and Order Criminal Intent {Seasons 2001-2011}): I get that it's kinda odd and maybe feels a bit one-sided that i've used 3 Law and Order performers, but honestly I'm just going with my gut and casting who would be right for the character as they're written in the story. I think Katheryn is a great actress and would be the right person to play Lana Lang.
Aunt Harriet Cooper (Height: 5' 6", Age: 60's-70's): Harriet Cooper is one of Gotham City's elite because her nephew is Dick Grayson, who is the ward of millionaire Bruce Wayne. She devotes much of her time to work with community groups, such as the Gotham City Film Decency League. She is also a member of the Gotham City Gourmet Society, an organization she is quite active in. For instance, at one time she was in charge of their annual tea-tasting. She had stayed on as Staff after the deaths of Dick Grayson and Alfred Pennyworth but often falling to alcoholism to quell the pain she suffered at her Nephew's Demise.
Doris Roberts (Height: 5' 1", Age: 74 {As of 2004} Notable Works: Remington Steele {Season 1983-1987}, Used People, Everybody Loves Raymond {Seasons 1996-2005}): Doris is a great old actress who I think would be a blast for the audience see make an appearance in the film. I think she could make a memorable impression of Aunt Harriet.
Commissioner Barbara Gordon (Height: 5' 7", Age: 30's): A raven haired beauty, daughter of the late James Gordon and acting Commissioner of Gotham City's Police Department, and one of the last genuine friends Bruce Wayne has.
Lena Heady (Height: 5' 5½", Age: 31 {As of 2004} Notable Works: The Parole Officer, Possession, Ripley's Game): Lena Heady has existed as a formidable actress for decades now. She's really never given any of the parts she truly deserves, and while this is really a role she's too good an actress for, it would be a great role that would have helped her get a bigger name. She is a great choice for the role.
Holographic/Robot Alfred (Height: 5' 10", Age: None {Physically resembling Alfred may show age of a man in his 60's}): Not so long after Alfred had died, Bruce had built a replacement for his activities as Batman. After abandoning the role of Batman Bruce had shutdown the Alfred Robot/Holographic A.I. Unit until coming back into the role of the Dark Knight.
Ian McDiarmid (Height: 5' 10", Age: 60 {As of 2004} Notable Works: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Heart of Darkness, Sleepy Hollow): He's a legend. As an actor he's done a field of different roles. What really caused me to cast him was his voice, he has a very cold, intellectual and yet parental. He could really bring a sense of a soul back into a character who's basically a robot copy of a person.
This concludes my take on the illfated Batman VS Superman Film meant for a 2004/2005 release, none the less I hope you all enjoyed it.
