Romack Casts "The Umbrella Acadamy"

Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba's Insane Creation as I think it should be brought to the Big Screen!

For their first big screen outing I think it best to stick to the origin story from "The White Violin" storyline. I have only cast the major players here. Most of the supporting characters...... I just didn't sweat. Nor did I cast ALL of the main characters as their ten year old selves... only Number 5. I honestly believe that Gerard Way will be very much holding a strong influence throughout the entire project as well, and that the story will follow very close to the source material.

Executive Producer Gerard Way
Directing Duties Will Go To Tim Burton
Musical Score By None Other Than Gerard Way
Additional Music By My Chemical Romance

Olyphant(The Girl Next Door, Rockstar) can pull off the lonely tragic hero and be very memorable. I also think he and Greene might develop good onscreen chemistry with their characters.

Kraken looks and acts as if he were modeled after Holloway(Lost).... so why fight it. I really think he is the only obvious choice, and with his character having so much friction with Spaceboy he is perfect.

Greene(Twilight) has the looks and spunk for Rumor, but also can do dark and brooding. Plus she is smokin' hot and maybe she will be able to pull in the "Twilight" crowd.

Glover(Charlies Angels,Beowulf,Willard)can do creepy better than most. He would be able to bring that goofy but spooky feel to Seance. He is also just an amazing actor.

Max Records(Where The Wild Things Are) very much has the look for Number 5, and it would make my skin crawl to hear the words of a 60 year old hardened killer coming from him.

Deschanel(Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) can pull off almost anything and would nail the Demented White Violin.

The Horror is seldom used in either of the TUA stories but I believe His story will unfold more in later stories so Wilson is my pick for the late hero. Fans will be sympathetic and mourn for him even if he has a small part, and we have an established actor to develop the Horrors character in later films.

Who else but Malkovich(In the Line of Fire,Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy,The Man in the Iron Mask) could play a cold, detached, alien father figure out to save the world at the expense of the adoptive children in his care?

Malcolm McDowell(A Clockwork Orange, Caligula, Heroes) has just got one of the best voices in cinema, and his is the voice in my head when Dr. Pogo speaks.

Well that's it folks. If you think I'm Batshitcrazy...... you're probably right.

Pretty dark and solid casting man!:) I would like to see Luke Wilson in a serious role! He was good in Vacancy!
I think Burton would work as the director! If not him then maybe Zack Snyder, Alex Proyas or Henry Selick (The director of Coraline, The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach)

Alex@ Yeah I really thought about Snyder, but I think Burton will really get into making this come to life.

Anil@ Yeah I'm more of a Metallica, Maiden and 5FDP kinda guy. My Kids got me listenin' to MCR, Red, Skillet and Thirty Seconds to Mars and stuff like that.

LEEE@ Oh yeah you should pick up the TPB for "The White Violin". It has a better story, but the second TPB "Dallas" fleshes out the characters much more.

ROMACK@ Im sure of it!:D McDowell is by the way one of the greatest actors in the world! Its pretty sad that he doesnt get really good roles today! Roles where he can totally get into!

If you wanna see few movies where he really shows his claws watch The Barber, Gangster No. 1, I´ll Sleep When I´m Dead (Also starring Clive Owen and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers) and the creepiest and scariest of them all, Evilenko (Tells the story of the russian communist teacher Andrej Romanovic Evilenko, who in between 1984-1992, sadistically raped, murdered and eated 55 person, most of them children and young women. Based on the real life story of A.K. Cikatilo, also known as the monster of Rostov) When you watch this last movie you really start to hate Malcolm from the bottom of your heart. He is that good in it!:D

My favorite role from Malcolm is still like my avatar shows Alex DeLarge!:D "Im singin´ in the rain, just singin´ in the rain. What a glorious feeling. Im happy again" - Alex

Yeah!!:D lol
A Clockwork Orange is genius! And i gotta say Stanley Kubrick was one of the greatest directors in the world!:) The Real genius and total perfectionist!:D Everybody he work with hated and loved him sametime because he wanted everything to be perfect and not just the script and acting, but the color of the walls and every other little details! Sometimes he taked over hundred shots because he wanted to anger his actors so they could make the role real! The Shining stars Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall were one of his "victims" who experienced this method!
In Clockwork Orange do you remember the scene where two Alex´s old gangmembers tries to drown him in to the pool?! Well in that scene Malcolm had somekind of breathing machine so he could breath under the water! But when they started to film the scene the machine broke up and Malcolm had to fight for his life about few minutes in handcuffs against these actors who were keeping his head under the water! And that scene is in the movie! Stanley and others were just thinking in the time that how good Malcolm´s acting was!:D

Cool! I did not know that about that scene, but yeah Kubrick = Greatness. I knew he was very controlling in his directing of his actors.
