Devil May Cry has been a worldwide phenomenon spawning three video game sequels, an anime series, and a manga. If you haven't played it, you should do so immediately.
Here are my picks for the characters
Sparda
I say that since he's talked about a lot, but doesn't make many appearances in the games he should be CG.
Trish/Eva
Uma Thurman
If you've seen "Kill Bill," you'll understand my choice. If not, then, we'll just say she kicks a lot of ass and looks great doing it.
Lady
Kristen Stewart
While having the look of Lady, Kristen also has that teenage angst thing down. This will also broaden her career. She's definitely got some talent, and has done a variety of roles at her young age, but nothing quite like this.
Arkham/Jester
Crispin Glover
He's talent incarnate. He can do everything...horror, drama, comedy. He'll need all those skills for this role. He just has that dark maniacal presence needed for Arkham. Many CBM fans have said he should be Joker in a Batman movie, well, this is the next best thing. Jester is basically DMC's Joker in behavior and looks similar to "Batman: The Animated Series." I couldn't imagine anyone other than Crispin Glover doing this role.
Mundus
Tony Daniels
Since Mundus appears mainly as a floating, talking, electric triangle, I say keep the original voice actor. When he does make his appearance as the angelic looking demon, I say just get a motion capture performance.
And now for the one's you've all been awaiting
Virgil/Nelo Angelo
Elijah Wood
He has had an amazing career. We know him best from the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy as Frodo Baggins. While he was a very warm and friendly character, we saw his range of acting, and it's spectacular. One of the main reasons I picked him was for his eyes alone. He has those piercing bright blue eyes, which would seem cold and distant if he was to portray Vergil.
Last but most certainly not least
Dante
Reuben Langdon
Reuben Langdon hasn't been in many movies, most notable is the upcoming James Cameron movie, Avatar. He has mainly done voice acting and is a stunt man. Probably the most voice role he has is portraying Dante in Devil May Cry 3 and 4. He also provided the motion capture for Dante. So this guy is no amateur. Here is a pic of Langdon providing reference footage for Dante. They look alike in virtually every way.
Those are my pics for the movie. I know that Vergil and Dante are supposed to be identical twins, but I think that this could be one of the changes made that would work. Just say that they're fraternal/non-identical twins.
