My movie would be a reboot in the style of the recent Star Trek reboot movie. The "Next Generation" cast would be played by the following. Some important things you'll want to know about it:
-Tasha Yar will die, but it will be an epic death and will give proper credit to Denise Crosby's character. She will not be killed by the monster from the TNG episode, “Skin of Evil”. Worf will become the Chief of Security by the end of the movie.
-This movie will be similar to the Star Trek: Original Series reboot in terms of style and reboot-modernization, but this one will be on a more dramatic scale. It will be much longer. 'Star Trek' is just over two hours, and this one will be over three hours and possibly more.
-Since Captain Picard is supposed to be older, some creative license is taken with the characters. Even though the actors are different ages, their actual age does not have to match their characters' age.
Michael Rosenbaum as Captain Jean-Luc Picard
Well, Rosenbaum does look good bald. But Rosenbaum has a way of acting that could fit the Captain's personality and loyalty to the Starfleet way of doing things, despite the fact that Rosenbaum is now typically associated with the bad guy character type.
Sean William Scott as Commander William Riker
I know what you're thinking. It sounds roughly something like,
“What? Seann William Scott is a comedy guy, there's no way he could replace Jonathan Frakes and besides Captain Picard is supposed to be older than Commander Riker and [blah][blah] whiney [blah][blah] i'm a noob [blah][blah] Smallville sucks.”
I have one thing to say to you: STFU.
I think Sean, even though he's typically a comedy guy, could do Commander Riker. After all, look at Ryan Reynolds; Ryan has done many comedy roles and he was good in Xmen Origins and is now doing Green Lantern, both of which are serious roles.
Eva Mendes as Counselor Troi
I am proud of myself for this one. Eva Mendes is hot, and so was Marina Sirtis back in the day. I think she is a perfect match to play Counselor Troi. I know that sounds unprofessional, but cosmetics and physical appearance matters in the film industry. Why do you think the adult film industry is so successful? Anyway, Eva Mendes would be able to have the same subtle concern, sense of humor, and betazoid sex appeal as Marina Sirtis. Imagine her, in that counselor's outfit, looking into your eyes and saying, “Imzadi”
Jenna Fischer as Doctor Crusher
All I wanna do is sit in a chair and say in the voice of Mortal Kombat's Shao Kahn, “Superb”. Jenna Fischer, from The Office” has shown considerable acting ability in her role as Pam and has shown her ability to flexibly perform many roles (being funny, being serious, being angry, being really sad). I think she would effectively revive the character and be the next red-headed crush for Captain Picard.
Elijah Wood as Commander Data
I understand that Data has been a particularly important role in the series, and I am fully aware that he is popular. I agree, Brent Spiner is simply irreplaceable. Brent Spiner is an amazing actor and singer (if you haven't checked out his music, I recommend searching up his album, 'Ol Yellow Eyes is Back. He's very talented). I also understand that Elijah Wood will forever be branded as Frodo, and this might hinder your view as to how he could replace Brent Spiner. That being said, I ask that you deal with it, because this is my fancast. ;-)
Elijah Wood could play this role because I have seen his acting style and how he played Frodo during his intense moments. Just look at his blue eyes, and you can almost hear him saying “At maximum warp, in 2 years, 7 months, 3 days, 18 hours, we would reach Starbase 185.”
Donald Glover as Geordi LaForge
Geordi Laforge was a special character for me. Not because I'm black, but because he was just an awesome character. You have to admit, Geordi was undeniably cool, especially since Levar Burton was the star of Reading Rainbow. All of you '90's kids and below should definitley remember Reading Rainbow. Personally, I have not witnessed much of Donald Glover's acting, but I've seen some of his standup. While I am still conflicted on this one, I think he could do it.
Terry Crews as Lieutenant Worf
'Nuff said.
Kristen Bell as Tasha Yar
First, I want to concede on my point and offer an argument supporting the contradictory viewpoint. Tasha Yar is a tough-as-nails woman with a fiery temper, almost a tomboy. She was the original Chief of Security onboard the Enterprise, which is more than enough to prove that she's one tough cookie. She is killed by a murderous entity in the television series, and I am taking great liberty by not warning you of that spoiler. In case you didn't notice, she is not in every episode. Lieutenant Worf becomes the next Chief of Security. That point being made, Kristen Bell will not be seen by many of you as capable enough to show that kind of character. I disagree. Her most favorite roles of mine were in the movies, 'Fanboys', and 'The Hot Chick'. She could do Tasha with a new elegance but also have the same temper as Denise Crosby originally did.
Cayden Boyd as Wesley Crusher
Cayden Boyd is a child actor on the rise, and while I considered casting an unknown for this role I also thought maybe I should give somebody else a chance. Wesley isn't a popular character anyway, so why does anybody care.
