Superman aka Clark Kent/Kal-El - Owain Yeoman
I love the idea of him as Superman, and really wish he gets the role. Visually he's perfect for a young Alex Ross Superman, however muscle-wise he's not very big, so if I'd expect him to put on some more muscle for the role, and of course wear blue contacts for the role. Anyways, I imagine him to play the role as a sort of John Bryne/Mark Waid Clark Kent, so yeah he used to play football in high school but had an 'injury' so became a reporter
Lois Lane - Kristina Anapau
I admitedly chose her after hearing she was up for the role, but after checking out her filmography she's a pretty decent actress. The fact that she's easy on the eyes and has the perfect balance of cuteness and fiestyness also helps as that is trully what Lois is all about
Supergirl aka Kara Kent/Kara Zor-El - Hayden Pannitiere
I loved her in 'Heroes' and she's got that perfect balance of hotness and cuteness, and this helps as she could pass of for 16-18. More or less the right age for the role
The Kents - Harrison Ford & Hellen Mirren
Before I had Bruce Greenwood and Holly Hunter, but I thought [frick] it and bowed down to conformity opting to go with an older couple. Anyways, seeing as how both these guys are great with dramatic roles, and the fact that Harrison was Indy just gives him a further kind of 'status' that I feel would make him alongside Mirren perfect for Clark's pillars of wisdom
The Els - Viggo Mortensen & Maria Bello
I loved how in Donner's version of Superman Marlon Brando played Jor-El. Viggo Mortensen is essentially a modern day Brando, so I feel it would be natural for him to have this role and frankly he would own it. With Maria Bello, she has damn good chemistry with Mortensen, so that was the basis of my casting
Perry White - Ray Wise
Before I had Alec Baldwin for the role, but I dunno... He's churned out a few turds here and there... lol... In this regards, I feel Wise is perfect. He has the perfect balance of humour and seriousness, plus he can turn on the devilish charm in an instant as seen in 'Reaper,' frankly I feel he could make the role iconic like J K Simmon's J Jonah Jameson
James 'Jim' Olsen - Jaime Bell
Before I had Anton Yelchin for the role, but changed to Bell as I feel it'd be better for a slightly older Olsen. Anyways, again he's another actor who can balance humour and drama without much effort, as seen in the majority of his filmography, and as for the role I do imagine Bell to portray the character like a little brother figure towards Clark and Lois
Cat Grant - Diora Baird
She's an OK supporting actress, and she has big jugs... It's that simple lol...
Steve Lombard - Kevin Mckidd
He's a pretty solid actor and again can definetly provide a strong suporting role. All he needs to do is grow his hair a bit and he's sorted, as seen in 'Dog Soldiers' he can also play a meat-head
Ron Troupe - Mos Def
I love this dude's music, and he always brings this intelligent charisma to whatever role he's in. In this regards, I feel he can bring that soul-full inteligence for the role, so yeah I imagine him to 'clash' with Mckidd's Lombard every once in a while
John Henry Irons - Henry Simmons
Simmon's has the right build and musculature needed for the role, plus he has those intelligent eyes. Anyways, my take on Steel is first he was a weapons designer for LuthorCorp, but after Lex stole his nanotech for his own purposes he quit, etc, only to become a superhero after the Man of Steel's apparent death. In this regards, I imagine him to be a cross between Iron Man and Colussus, so yes to organic metal skin, etc
Emil Hamilton - Donald Sutherland
Visually another home run. Storywise, I imagine him to be Iron's mentor, and he alongside Iron's help Superman and the rest of the League build the Watchtower
Lana Lang - Rachael Taylor
She has that cute/homey look to her, and is a good supporting actress so I feel she could do a good Lana Lang. Anyways, much like in the comics she was Clark's high school sweetheart who ends up marrying his best buddy Pete Ross; so yeah a bit of a bitchy move, but my reasoning behind it is that she went for Pete as she wanted a kid, something she didn't think alien Clark could give her... I dunno just me rambling here...
Pete Ross - Michael Stahl-David
Another good supporting actor. He could provide the naivity and seriousness needed for the role, and could deliver the perfect portrayal of a guy who's in love with his best friend's girl, etc
Lex Luthor - Jude Law
He's a charming [frick]er, and has the charisma and and grin needed for the role. Whereas most people opt for Billy Zane for the role, I think Law would be the better choice. Anyways, dude's a great actor so I feel he could definetly deliver a better Luthor than Hackman's camp business mogul
Mercy Graves - Natasha Hendrige
She's good at playing tough, strong female characters, and throughout the films I imagine her to be Lex's right hand woman/play thing
General Lane - Ed Harris
One of my favorite actors, and he's great at playing tough conflicted bad guys, thought I did chose him for the role after his performance in 'A History of Violence,' his performance as a bitter and cynical thug was just perfect and what Sam Lane is all about
Parasite aka Rudy Jones - Doug Jones
The guy is a master with CGI an practical make up, so yeah I expect a good balance of both of these for the character. Much like Abesapian and the freaky demon goat thing from 'Pam's Labarinth' I imagine Parasite to look kinda thin and lean at first, however the more energy he drains the bigger/muscular he gets
Toyman aka Winslow Schott - Paul Giammati
Visually he's perfect for the role, and I imagine the character to have made Metallo with stolen tech from Simmon's Irons
Metallo aka John Corben - Paul Walker
Again I imagine a good balance of CGI and practical make up for the role. Anyways, I really liked the Smallville version with the kryptonite 'arc reactor,' but I imagine for a big screen incarnation for him to be a mix of that and the TX Terminator so he can form weapons out of nanotech stuff in his body. Anyways, I chose Walker as at 6'3' he's physically a good opponent for Yeoman, plus he's a good actor who can handle action well so that's great
General Zod - Jason Isaacs
Non - Nathan Jones
Ursa - Carrie Ann Moss
Isaac's looks like Stamp, plus he's a great actor and this alongside the fact he has great chemistry with Mortensen makes him a perfect candidate for the role in my book. Anyways, I imagine him to be like Clark's Kryptonian Godfather, so as to add to the drama... With Jone's he can deliver the 'dumb brute' appeal to the character, plus at 6'10' he is an intimidating [frick]. With Moss, just watch her as Trinity in the 'Matrix' series and you'll know why
Brain.I.A.C. - Paul Bettany
The catalyst of Krypton's destruction. Anyways as seen in films like 'Legion,' and the 'Da Vinci Code' he's perfect at playing cold, calculating characters, plus at 6'3,' alongside the proper useage of CGI and practical make up I feel he could look pretty damn cool
Doomsday - Andy Serkis
Complete CGI motion capture stuff like the Hulk. Serkis is another master with motion capture suits, just watch him as Golum or King Kong to see how good he truly is. Anyways, I'm not sure if this Doomsday should have a voice or not, but if he does then Serkis can also deliver a creepy/beasty inhumane voice too. Also I imagine Doomsday to be about 10' so yeah the same height as the Hulk
