Superman: Man of Steel FANCAST

My UPDATED Fancast for who I would like to see for the Man of Steel Movie and a director.

Superman: Man of Steel
The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive
Wonder Woman
Batman Rebot

Since I changed 4 of the actors and added some more villains I figured I might as well repost the whole article. And I added the most important part; the Director.

Clark Kent/Superman: Henry Cavill (The Tudors)

He seems the best choice at the moment. He defiantly has the talent to play Superman. Though I WOULD PREFER AND TOTAL UNKOWN I’m sure he could do it. I’m a little concerned he’s not big enough though.

Lois Lane: Anne Hathaway (Alice in Wonderland)

It’s suggested it before. I think she would do a great job portraying a tough Lois while keeping her most important qualities.

Jimmy Olsen: Rupert Grint (Harry Potter)

Why has no one thought of this before? I’ll admit he’s not perfect but he could totally do it.

Perry White: Bruce Cambell (Army of Darkness)

He looks the part, he could do a more comedic version of the character (without being to comedic). That way he won’t be too similar to J Jonah Jameson.

Jor-El: Hark Harmon (NCIS)

He seems like an old Superman to me (he voiced Superman in Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths) so it seems right to make him Supes’ dad. He could do a very different version of Jor-El (compared to Marlon Brando)

Lara Lor-Van: Marina Sirtis (Star Trek: The Next Generation)

I think her role as Deanna Troi in STNG would transfer well to Superman’s mom.

Jonathan Kent: Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek)

Just watch him as Christopher Pike in "Star Trek".

Martha Kent: Meryl Streep (Julie & Julia)

She’s a talented actress and could totally play the role.

Villains

PS. I don’t want to see all of these villains in the first movie.

Lex Luthor: Eric Bana (Star Trek, Hulk)

I originally had Zachary Quinto but I re-watched Star Trek recently and I realized Eric Bana would be even better. The scene where Nero interrogates Pike reminded me of Kevin Spacey.

Brainiac: Raph Fienes (Harry Potter, Clash of the Titans)

I know a lot of people have him as Luthor, but I think Fienes is better at playing an emotionless villain-like Braniac. It would be cool if they went with the story that Brainiac destroyed Krypton.

Mercy Graves: Summer Glau (Serenity, Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles)

Who Else?

Metallo: Garret Dillahunt (Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles)

He has that look I associate with Metallo, and Metallo basically is a terminator.

Bizzaro: Henry Cavil (no duh)

I don't want to see the silly Bizzaro from the comics. I'd rather see a totally insane Bizzaro that jsut flies around destroying stuff.

General Dru-Zod: Sergio Castellitto (Prince Caspian)

I don’t like Gerald Butler for Zod. I was watching Prince Caspian and when I imediatly thought of Zod

Ursa: Helena Bonham Carter (Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland)

She would do a great job playing a really crazy version of the character

Non: Dave Legeno (Harry Potter)

He was Fenrir Greyback in Harry Potter. His look reminds me of the doglike non for Superman 2. But to be honest I didn’t but a lot of thought into this one. Dang a lot of these are Harry Potter

And now for the director: the one who would make all of this work. Drum roll please…and the director is

J.J ABRAMS

What Abrams did to Star Trek was not perfect by any means but it’s exactly what we need right now for Superman. Abrams could do a great job making a very cool, relatable, action-packed, testosterone filled version of Superman while still staying fairly accurate to the comics.
