For the director, I choose JJ Abrams(Star Trek)!
I know his Superman the script was horrible but he was inexperienced and it was heavily influenced by others. If he can make it an action-sci fi movie with lots of emotion, like Star Trek, it would be perfect.
Superman-Brandon Routh(Superman Returns)
Do I really need to explain this one?
Lois Lane-Zooey Deschanel(Bridge to Terebithia)
She's a great actress and really looks like Lois, especially like Margot Kidder's version.
Jimmy Olsen-David Henrie(Wizards of Waverly Place)
He's a pretty good actor and he looks the part. He even reminds me of the Birthright version.
Lex Luthor-James Marsters(Smallville)
A great actor with the looks, voice and experience to play Lex.
Krypton:
Jor-El-Jim Caviezel(Passion of the Christ)
Caviezel is a great actor and, at 41, isn't too old for this role. He even looks a little like Routh.
Lara Lor-Van-Nicole Kidman(Batman Forever)
Even though she's been in some bad movies, she is a good actress and looks like Lara. She doesn't need to have much acting skills for this role anyways.
Zor-El-Gerard Butler(300)
Even though he's a fan favorite for Zod, I think he's better suited to play Supergirl's dad.He looks a little like Caviezel and can play hero/villian characters like Zor-El.
Kara Zor-El/Supergirl-Amber Heard(The Informers)
Heard is the fan favorite and I have to agree. She looks the part, is a great actress and comes from the American south, which helps play Kara Kent, Clark's "human" cousin.
Zod-Karl Urban(Star Trek)
He's a great actor and definately looks the part, at least in "The Chronicles of Riddick"
Smallville:
Jonathan Kent-Jeff Bridges(Iron Man)
To me, Bridges looks a lot like Kent. Plus, even though he turned out to be a villian, Bridges did play the father figure in "Iron Man".
Martha Kent-Julliane Moore(30 Rock)
I wanted to go a little younger, like "Smallville", and Moore really looks like Martha to me.
Lana Lang-Amy Adams(Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian)
I thought her character in "Night at the Museum" acted like what I always imagined Lana to be like. She really looks the part too.
Pete Ross-Tobey Maguire(Spider-Man trilogy)
I thought his Peter Parker/Spider-Man acted a little like Pete: smart, confident, caring but also a bit of a show-off. He looks a little like the comic book Pete too(at least the Tim Sale and Frank Quitely versions).
Daily Planet:
Perry White-Alec Baldwin(The Getaway)
I think Baldwin could give Perry a comedic personality to makle him different from J Jonah Jameson.
Ron Troupe-Phil Morris(Smallville)
He is a good actor, even though I didn't think he got the Martian Manhuntern right. He looks exactly like the comic book Ron Troupe.
Steve Lombard-Jerry O'Connell(Kangaroo Jack)
<
I think Jerry could pull this off. He is a pretty good actor.
Cat Grant-Kristen Bell(Heroes)
Not a major part. She just has to look like Cat but it doesn't hurt that she is a good actress.
Kyle Rayner-Freddie Prince Jr.(24)
I wanted to put Kyle in here to tie Green Lantern and Superman together. I wanted his role, but not his origin, to be similar to "Superman: The Animated Series."
Allies:
Steel-Henry Simmons(CSI:Miami)
The obvious fan favorite.
Superboy-Robbie Amell(Scooby-Doo:The Mystery Begins)
He looks the part, can act and I haven't seen a better pick yet.
David Conner/The Eradicator-Tim Daly(Superman: The Animated Series)/Brandon Routh(Superman Returns)
I chose two actors because Eradicator is two people: Dr. David Conner and the Last Son of Krypton. Daly looks exactly like Conner(minus the mustache) and has experience with Superman. Since the Last Son of Krypto is just a Superman clone body the Eradicator created for itself, I used my Superman actor, Brandon Routh.
Emil Hamilton-Jeremy Irons(Eragon)
He looks the part and he played his role in Eragon perfectly, even though I didn't really enjoy the movie.
Lar Gand/Mon-El-Tom Welling(Smallville)
I know I'm probably going to get flamed for using another Smallville actor after James Marsters and Phil Morris but hear me out, okay? I don't want Welling to play Superman but he looks a lot like Mon-El and he's an okay actor. This wouldn't be a major role anyways.
Kara Zor-L/Power Girl-Elisha Cuthbert(24)
I know a lot of people want her for Supergirl but I think she's better suited for Power Girl. She is too old for Supergirl and looks more like Power Girl anyways. I don't care what her breast size is as long as she looks the part and can act. I also want to give this under-appreciated character a serious tone.
Lor-Zod/Christopher Kent/Nightwing-Henry Cavill(The Tudors)
Some people want him for Superman and some want him for Batman. I personally think he'd be great as both so I cast him as Nightwing, who is a Kryptonian version of Batman. He also happens to look the part.
Enemies:
Brainiac-James Franco("Spider-Man" trilogy)/voice of Peter Jessop(Justice League Heroes[VG])
I wanted Milton Fine to be a sneaky businessman who could switch sides quickly, something I think Franco portrayed perfectly in the "Spider-Man" movies. After playing "Justice League Heroes", i can't picture anyone else as the voice of Brainiac.
Darkseid-CGI/voice of David Sobolov(Justice League Heroes[VG])
Again, like Jessop, I can't see anyone else as the voice of Darkseid after playing JLH. I used Michael Ironside's face because he looked like Darksied and was pretty good in S:TAS.
Bizarro-Brandon Routh(Superman Returns)
Obviously, since he's my pick for Superman, I have to use him.
Metallo-Channing Tatum(G.I. Joe:The Rise of Cobra)
Just because he was in a horrible movie doesn't mean that he's a horrible actor. He had some good action scenes in the movie.
Cyborg Superman-Keanu Reeves(The Matrix)/Brandon Routh/CGI
I doesn't matter that Reeves is a robotic actor because he's playing a cyborg.
Doomsday-CGI/voice of Charlie Adler(Transformers)
I really liked his evil performence in the first "Transformers".
My next DCU cast will be Batman!
