If anyone wants to take the time to read this, I put in a lot of work and it’s just a fun little story about what I think can happen in the Avengers 2.
Thanos has decided to invade Asgard in search of the Tesseract. He raids Odin’s Weapons Room and takes out several Asgardian warriors in the process before Thor comes to intervene. Thor approaches him but is quickly taken out as Thanos wields the power of the Tesseract. While accessing it’s power, he also grabs the Infinity Gauntlet and places it on his hand. Thanos crushes the Tesseract and absorbs the energy from it which creates the Space Gem. Thor watches as Thanos disappears.
On Earth, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the Falcon train in Avengers Tower as Tony Stark and Bruce Banner oversee the simulation. As the four heroes display their abilities, Nick Fury and Maria Hill enter to discuss the public reaction to the Avengers. Fury states that he believes them to be heroes, while Maria wants them to register in some shape or form and become true SHIELD agents as Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Falcon are. Stark and Banner reveal that they do not have a vendetta against SHIELD but they are untrusting of their operations. Fury proclaims that he will allow the Avengers to do what they see fit in times of crisis but for everyone to remain at ease about the superhero team, he wishes for them to only work together in the spotlight when there are serious threats and that when he needs his agents (Captain America, Widow, Hawkeye and the Falcon) they are to respond. Stark jokingly states that the SHIELD agents are his back-up team as Nick Fury leaves signaling that he needs his agents now.
Meanwhile, Thanos and a few of his subordinates arrive on Midgard where they raid an ancient South American temple in search of an Infinity Gem. On the SHIELD hellicarrier, Fury explains to Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Falcon that a rupture in space has happened in South America and they are to investigate. Fury also introduces them to Henry Pym, a biological engineer who has crafted a robot out of vibranium. Pym is assigned to accompany the agents along with Ultron to test the robots capabilities. The agents, Pym and Ultron then board a jet headed to South America.
Back on Asgard, Thor has council with his mother, the Warriors Three, Sif and Balder to decide what to do. They determine that Thanos is in search of the Infinity Gems and Thor’s mother tells him that the Gems were forged from the energies that created the Nine Realms. She reveals that Odin discovered them long ago and seeing at how much power they had, hid them on Midgard since he believed the realm to be beneath the awareness of other beings outside of the Nine Realms. Thor decides to go to Midgard to stop Thanos.
In South America, the SHIELD agents, Pym and Ultron arrive and quietly take out a few of Thanos’s Chitari. Thanos retrieves the Time Gem and uses it against the heroes, recalling their most horrible memories and then he brings to life the ancient South American warriors that lived to do battle with them. Pym orders Ultron to take out more Chitari while the agents fight against their memories and the warriors. Thanos places the Time Gem on the Gauntlet and disappears, freeing the agents from the attack. They return to SHIELD to report.
Fury believes that things are about to stir up and he goes to Stark and Banner to put them on alert with the other heroes and Pym. Pym and Stark have some banter as it is revealed that Pym is currently engaged to Janet Van Dyne who has a history with Stark before she met Pym. As the group discusses what happened in South America, Thor arrives to tell the Avengers about Thanos and the Infinity Gems. Thor knows the location of the remaining Gems and the Avengers go to retrieve them.
All of the Avengers travel to a city in China to locate the Mind Gem. Pym has brought Janet to assist much to the dismay of Stark. As the team try to locate the Gem, Thanos arrives which sets off Ultron’s systems. Wasp, Falcon, Iron Man and Thor race to the location while the others travel in the jet. When they arrive, Thanos has gained possession of the Gem and is using it to destroy the city. Thanos uses the Space Gem to destroy buildings causing Pym to turn into Giant Man to stop them from falling. As the team attempts to save the citizens, Thor, Hulk and Iron Man go up against Thanos face to face. Thanos makes quick work of the heroes launching the Hulk seemingly into space and using the Mind Gem to learn about Jane Foster and Pepper Potts. Thanos continues to wreak havoc on the city before disappearing causing the Avengers to clean up the mess.
After returning to Avengers Tower, Captain America suggests that they split up and go after the remaining three Gems before Thanos can get them since he can’t be in three places at once. It is revealed that the Power Gem is located in a small town on the Atlantic Coast in Europe, the Soul Gem is in Egypt and the Reality Gem is in a forest in Greece. Pym, Hawkeye and Captain America go to Greece; Iron Man, Widow, and Falcon go to Egypt and Thor, Wasp and Hulk go to Europe.
When the heroes arrive, they begin their search. Thanos has already reached the Power Gem in Europe and Thor and Hulk attempt to stop him from getting it but Thanos overpowers them both knocking Thor out with his own hammer and reverting Hulk back to Banner and tossing him into the ocean leaving Wasp to go and save them as Thanos leaves. Meanwhile, the team in Greece gets the Reality Gem after defeating the beings that are protecting it. In Egypt though, Widow explores catacombs where the Soul Gem is as Iron Man and Falcon patrol the skies. Things take a turn for the worse though when the Egyptian military attacks. Widow is trapped in the catacombs and Falcon is forced to save her as Iron Man defends the two as they escape. After the military is shut down by SHIELD, the team escapes with the Soul Gem.
Back on the hellicarrier, the team is pleased to discover that they have both the Soul and Reality Gem. Meanwhile, Thanos has kidnapped Pepper and Jane and is holding them hostage. He sends the Other to Stark and Thor to inform them and tells them that if they do not surrender the other Gems, he will kill them. Unwilling to give up the Gems but determined to stop Thanos, the Avengers head to space in a modified Quinjet to face Thanos. As the Avengers approach Thanos on his base, Thanos begins to wield the power of the Infinity Gems that he has and with the Power Gem uses the Gauntlet to cause all of the stars in the sky to go supernova.
The Avengers raid his base and kill the Other, and take out several Chitari with the assistance of Ultron units. As the Avengers get closer to Thanos in order to take him down, the stars start to go super nova. Thor uses the Soul Gem to summon the strength of all of the fallen warriors of Asgard and goes toe to toe with Thanos alongside the Hulk again. Meanwhile, Iron Man attempts to destroy the ship along with Falcon, Pym, and Wasp. Widow and Hawkeye search for Pepper and Jane and find them along with Death who informs the both of them that Thanos wishes to wipe out all life in the Universe in order to use the Infinity Gems to recreate it in his images. As Hawkeye and Widow return to the fight, Captain America attempts to use the Reality Gem which causes a shift in reality that disturbs the base and causes Thanos to lose control of his power just as he kills Thor.
Thanos becomes enraged and breaks Captain America’s arm and shield, stealing the Reality Gem and the Soul Gem from Thor. Thaons completes the Infinity Gauntlet as the base around his starts to explode. The Ultron units crowd around him and attack as the rest of the team get off of the base with Thor’s body. As they make their escape, Thanos comes after them in his crumbling base. As they get into Earth’s atmosphere, a wormhole opens up and nearly all of Asgard flies through space attacking Thanos. Some are taken out but Odin appears before Thor’s body and returns his son to life, empowering him with the Odinforce to do battle once again with Thanos.
Thor flies out of the quinjet, followed by Iron Man and uses all of the power he has to unleash a devastating blow on Thanos. The Infinity Gauntlet flies off of his hands as Iron Man releases a chest blast to Thanos. Thanos falls to the ground and is on the verge of death as she appears above him. Thor grabs the Infinity Gauntlet and flies off towards the sun. Death speaks to the Avengers and tells them about her level of power and that she will just will Thanos back to life. The Avengers say that if she does, they will be ready.
The Avengers return to Earth where they intend to inform Fury and Hill of what happened. When they return to the base though, they are surprised to see that Agent Coulson is alive and well.

After Credits Scene: Agent Coulson walks through the SHIELD base and is approached by Hill who he takes out. He goes to Fury’s control panel and sends a signal, speaking to someone on the other end revealing that they are ready for the Invasion as he turns into a Skrull.
