First CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Footage Expected To Be Shown At Disney's D23

For the first time since 2011, Marvel Studios this year decided to skip a Hall H presentation at Comic-Con. However, they'll be making their presence felt at D23 with Captain America: Civil War next month and we have the first details on what to expect right here...

Marvel Studios didn't show up at Comic-Con, but they'll be making their presence felt in Anaheim on August 15th at Disney's D23 event. As part of the "Worlds, Galaxies, and Universes: Live Action at The Walt Disney Studios" panel, Captain America: Civil War will be showcased and the first footage from the movie will presumably be shown off. On the other hand, it could just be the featurette which was shown at a recent European film event where Doctor Strange concept art was also revealed. However, with D23 being a bigger deal for the studio, it wouldn't be surprising for them to reveal some actual Civil War footage. That doesn't necessarily mean it will be released online of course, but we can at least probably look forward to some new details if nothing else!

Disney, Marvel and Lucasfilm are home to some of the planet’s best storytellers, immersing audiences fully in the world of each film from beginning to end and beyond. In this exclusive Hall D23 presentation, join Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn for a tour of upcoming live-action projects from these legendary film studios. A bevy of special guests will be on hand to offer a look at an unparalleled slate that includes Alice Through the Looking Glass, The Jungle Book, Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, Star Wars: The Force Awakens–and much, much more.

What are you hoping to see revealed at D23? Spider-Man's costume? Captain America: Civil War story details? An Ant-Man sequel? As always, let us know your thoughts on this news below.

Nice! Can't wait to find out more about how they're adapting it especially after (semi-spoiler) that tease of "the accords" in the Ant-Man stinger

If anyone's interested in checking out my in-depth three hour podcast episode about the movie you can hear it on iTunes (Movie Multiverse) or here: http://moviemultiverse.com/57

Not excited because they probably wont release it officially. I doubt there will be a bootlegged version because D23 is good at making sure no one uses their phones.

The footage will probably be released online in November, the average first trailer release for a Marvel movie is 6 month's prior to the movie's release, I checked every single phase 2 movie's difference between trailer and movie release and it has been pretty darn consistent, and if not, it barely is a difference from 6 months.

I know the film is loosely adapting the comic arc but I LOVE THIS SCENE. It displays a Cap who's been pushed past his limits of control. He's just pissed. RDJ had said in an interview that Chris Evans was playing arundel with the notion of having an angry Cap in civil war. A Cap who's being pushed over the edge.

@LubedUp

because Steven don't trust Stark after creating Ultron. Also he was trying to cover up Jarvis ressurection ? (that is untill Cap showed up with Scarlet i think) I think it went like that as i recall (i'm not counting Hawkeye farm talks, because they were kinda pointless. Or maybe i just couldn't understand about what these 2 [frick]ers were talking about ...)

Also Steve would rather trust Falcon and ask someone else for help than call Stark and let him see his friend alive.

@Doopie

which is bad because some of the fans might feel cheated
Not to mention DC won CC and Fox kicked Marvel in the ass with that Stan Lee selfie.
I guess next year Marvel will have to show something at ComicCon (not just tv panels) so they won't be forgotten untill D23 day.

Announce the Danny Rand casting.

It'd be cool if he they gave some details about Thor 3. Despite hating Thor 2, I have hope the third will be much better. The one thing they really should've done was introduce Enchantress and Skurge in the second movie. Then have Skurge fight alongside the heroes in Thor 3 just so we could have the badass moment of HE STOOD ALONE AT GJALLERBRU.
