FANTASTIC FOUR Reboot Set To Shoot This September In Vancouver?

A Tweet from a Vancouver native which was backed up by OLV suggests that Fox's Fantastic Four reboot has entered pre-production for a September shoot in Canada. If this is on the level, surely casting announcements are not far away?

We know Josh Trank will direct and Mathew Vaughn will produce, but aside from that we don't know too much else about the Fantastic Four reboot other than it's set for a March 15, 2015 release. Well now me may also know where and roughly when it will be shooting.

We're pretty sure this is legit, but are currently doing some digging to confirm. If it is expect some more official announcements regarding the project pretty soon.

Mr.Seiners

You do realize it is 2013 not 2001, all of the actors you have named save one will be in their 40's by the time this movie is released.

If they go for Bruce Willis voicing The Thing, i will go full young RDJ on myself (drinking, waking up, taking cocaine, go too sleep - repeat instantly)

Patrick Wilson, or Ewan McGregor as Reed.

Yvonne Stravonski or Malin Akerman for Sue

Hunter Perish as Johnny

Donnie Wahlberg as Ben

Rufus Sewell as Dr. Doom

So it's really happening... I hope they cast Reed first and build the cast around him.

I have a lot of faith in this film!

Reed: Anson Mount (Hoping they'll go back to Jack Kirby's mainly scientist.)

Sue: Charlize Theron or Diane Kruger

Johnny: Chris Zylka (yes he's, Flash Thompson, but this is a different universe) or Garrett Hedlund

Ben: Tom Hardy or Joel Edgerton

If younger...

Reed: Lee Pace

Sue: Alice Eve

Johnny: Hunter Parish

Ben: Jon Bernthal

None, give this back to Marvel so they can truly go cosmic.

The F4 film rights aren't reverting to Marvel anytime soon, so may as well acknowledge it. And there's no reason to trash this film when we know virtually nothi- Nevermind, I'm not surprised.

Can't wait to see more Doctor Doom on the big screen. I wonder if they'll use him as the villain for the first film?

@TheBlackWolverine I have no doubt that they will use him. Even if it's as a secondary antagonist (like Loki to Malekith in Thor:TDW).

I think the first one was filmed in Van as well. I remember seeing this guy from Much Music in the first one, and it totally ruined the movie for me lol.

Cool I like it that different studios have different properties. It ensures there is enough money to make all the films we want to see. If Marvel had every property they wouldn't have the cash to produce and X-Men franchise, a Spider-Man franchise and Avengers franchise and all the subsequent spin off characters. Just look at WB and DC. If one movie fails to live up to expectations (Green Lantern) then they completely scrap everything and start over. I have a feeling MOS is going to be amazing, and they will slowly start to produce other films based on different characters besides superman and batman. But it won't be nearly as many as there are films based on Marvel characters.

What would be nice if the studios could work together, and figure out a revenue sharing plan that would enable the characters to interact with each other.

First Class was good, The Wolverine looks good, and I imagine this and DOFP will be great. I really think Fox has learned its lesson, and Marvel is showing the studios that if they take the properties seriously they can make a ton of money.
