Ian McShane is Black Beard! So from the sound of things POTC 4 is moving in strides now, after a very shaky start of changing directors, and some internal problems in the studios, now it's moving in top speed with Captain Sparrow's Black Pearl already docked in Hawaii and now with the casting of what would seem the villain of the next piece.

It has been difficult to be excited for this next installment on the Pirates series but with McShane on board, I'll say I'm pretty excited where the next adventure would lead too. I'm intrigued on what take they will have on these legendary pirate, and of his famous ship as well the Queen Anne's Revenge. I guess will just have to wait and see.

Ian McShane joins Johnny Depp, who will be returning as Captain Jack Sparrow, and the recently announced Penelope Cruz who is described as "Sparrow's foil and equal in many ways." The story in this is based on a Tim Powers' book, which focuses heavily on the Fountain of Youth, which would be a perfect continuation from the previous movie because it was hinted at the conclusion of At World's End. New Director Rob Marshall at the helm replacing Gore Verbinski.

I'll watch, I might be in the minority here but I truly did enjoy the POTC movies.
