Director Ang Lee spent four years working on Life of Pi, a big screen adaptation of Yann Martel's novel from 2001. The picture was unfilmable according to many who tried bringing this story to the big screen. But, Lee managed to make a wonderful film that captures human emotions in a very powerful way.

The work paid off at the end, because Life of Pi got nominated for 11 Academy Awards, including "Best Picture" and "Best Director." The film is also a big box office hit for the studio, as it passed $500 million at the worldwide box office. It made $100.4 million domestically, and $401 million internationally ($90.8 million came from China). Have you seen the film? What did you think of it?
