I think before one can actually do a review on this movie you have to realise there will be differences between the orginal and the new version, and maybe even go further by reading the Mythology of Perseus. I say this because if your like me i saw Clash as a kid, and have taken it as the Mythology, but never actually read any of the Mythology on perseus. which i do plan on doing now.
But for the new version of Clash I loved it. It was enjoyable, will it be the summer blockbuster, probably not, would i buy it on dvd when it comes out? More then likely yes.

The acting in it was no problem for me, as i thought all did a great job.
Liam as usual though did a wonderful job and made Zeus his own making me forget about the old Zeus. Sam did a good job and i heard no accent. effects were maverlous, Alot of people i heard complaining about the kraken looking like the Rancor is totally bogus. i think jus a reason to complain. Medeusa was awsome and i loved the scenes with her espically but i think they kinda cut her scenes short compared to the time they gave her in the orginal. There was alot of changes but for this version they played out well. would i take kids to see it ya 5 and up, and it is a dvd buy for sure. I would give it a 4 out of 5 bags of popcorn. I mean heck they had to change it some or we jus get the same old story with newer graphics and new faces. what fun is that.

I'm confused by your "no accent" comment. He had his accent through the entire film. Which is fine, because he wasn't trying to hide it.
