Christian Bale In Talks For Darren Aronofsky's Noah

The man who should have brought us The Wolverine could well be teaming with the man who gave us our newest(best?) Batman, as Aronofsky eyes Bale for his $130 Million Noah and the Ark Film..

Sure, the Biblical story of Noah's Ark may not exactly be a CBM(although the story is also set for a comic adap). But Bale's involvement should stir some interest here. And Aronofsky's involvement, with Bale, should stir interest in movie buffs everywhere. This would be the first time the two have worked together, although at one point Aronofsky was attached to The Fighter before David O' Russel took over.

Vulture report..

Vulture hears that Aronofsky is in talks with Christian Bale about possibly starring in his take on Noah's Ark, to help secure studio backing for it. Presumably, Aronofsky wants Bale for the lead, even though Noah was 600 years old when the Great Flood hit, and Bale is only 37.

A very exiting prospect indeed. Although the story wouldn't seem like something that many folks outside of Bible class would be too interested in, we are looking at a potential special effects filled extravaganza with one of the best directors working today at the helm, and one of the best actors as his leading man. More on this as we have it.
