Deadline is reporting that another King Kong remake is in the works, this time in animation and also from the perspective of Kong himself. It will be produced by Fox Animation (best known for the Ice Age series and the recently released Rio). Here's what they have to say...

Fox Animation has set the team of Christian Magalhaes & Bob Snow to write a modern day twist on the King Kong story. It will be animated, and will tell the story from the vantage point of the ape.

This will be the third remake of the 1933 classic. There's the 1970's remake with Jeff Bridges, and in 2005, Peter Jackson (Lord Of The Rings) directed what, in my opinion, is one of the worst films ever made in another remake of the classic. Could this animated remake be better than Jackson's? Or should they just let the story rest and leave it alone forever? Sound off your thoughts on the subject below.
