A nutty comedy from co-directors and writers John Carney and Kieran Carney, Zonad is in cinemas March 17th (in Ireland).

Zonad (Simon Delaney) is from space..probably. Or so the Cassidy family assume when they discover an apparent alien in a shiny red space suit and helmet passed out on the living room floor beside the drinks cabinet. But Zonad is not a space cadet in the literal sense. This alcoholic chancer has escaped from a rehabilitation clinic. At first, Zonad tries to evade the warm welcome of the villagers, but the procession of wanton women and free beer soon gets the better of him.

"Ridiculously funny" - Hot Press.

"Uproariously Funny" - The Irish Times.

In 2003, John Carney co-wrote and co-directed an earlier version of Zonad, a short film, with Ciarán Carney and Tom Hall. Starring Simon Delaney and Cillian Murphy, Zonad was low-budget and was never released.

Starring: Simon Delaney as Zonad (Liam Murphy).

David Pearse as Bonad (Francis O'Connor, Zonad's superior officer).

Rory Keenan as Guy Hendrickson.

Geoff Minogue as Dick Cassidy.

LEEE777 - Hey, who don't want a bit of Zonad?

Cillian Murphy's the only reason I'd watch this. I'll watch anything for him. I even sat through "Watching the Detectives" for him. That's the level of my love for this man.
