I'm a huge WOT time fan. I would love to play some good WOT video games. The PC game basically sucked.

However I just do not see a feasible way to make WOT movies. Eye of the World could be captured in a 2 1/2 hour movie but some books in the series likely could not be done in just one flick. A huge amount of material would have to be excluded. I think it would be cool to have WOT movies but don't see it happening except maybe EOtW.

I think an animated series would be our best chance to see WOT and see the entire story told.

ETA - Movies or not a WOT Fan Cast would still be fun though and tough come to think of it.

I read the first 4 books in the series and aside from a few Tolkien rip offs, i enjoyed them, But then i found out that there were another 70 books or something so I gave up.

I felt the same as Ror. I like the Wheel of Time series, but I love the character diversity and development in Edding's Belgariad series and would love to see them come to life (properly) on the big screen.

I read all the way to the 5th book. I'm not sure if I should read the rest.
But I agree that they should make an animated series.

PS. Nynaeve is the devil. :P

Necro I didn't really mean that I wanted them to be direct adaptations. I loved the LotR movies but they are 3 long movies made from 3 short books and still had to leave things out. The shortest WOT book is @600 pages in hardback and there are going to be 14 books in the main story by the time it is done. We could get a good EotW flick maybe even another few, but the chances we would see the Last Battle on screen would be pretty slim. That's why I thought animated series was the way to go.

Ooooh I love WOT. I hope if they do a game, it's a full-fledged RPG. I'd love to see Eye of the World on the big screen too! :D
