Production is swiftly gearing up for the return of the Brimstone Biker, Johnny Blaze in Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. While it's noted that filming would take place primarily in Romania, a Romanian news site, EVZ.ro, has shared a few details including when filming will begin & end, set preparations, and other locations duo-directors Mark Neveldine & Brian Taylor are considering.

With the use of Google's Translator, here is what the site states precisely:

"Nicolas Cage came to Romania on Saturday, according to the director of marketing for Castel Film, Bogdan Moncea. His project[Ghost Rider 2] is the first feature film made in our country to be shot in digital 3D next-generation technology without post, and will be based on visual special effects and pyrotechnics, all the first time in Romania.

Although not Romanian director of photography - both directors and operating room - a team of 200 technicians and artists, mostly local will try to ensure the highest standard of quality shooting.

Filming will begin on November 1 and will last until the end of February. By January it will only shoot in Romania, but the ending is possible for the team to move to Turkey, where they were already scouting, stated Monceau.

Three spectacular scenery will be built on the set Castel Film. One of the main ones will be hosted by plate 5 which is currently the highest plateau in Europe. Among the places in the country chosen for "Ghost Rider 2 - The Spirit of Vengeance" and Sibiu are împrejurimilesale, Transfăgărăşan, Targu-Jiu, Hunedoara Castle and Bucharest.

In all these areas, preparations have begun. Stunt workouts, but preparations motorcycles and cars that will participate in the filming takes place at Castel Film intense rhythm, while the costumes are made at workshops in Bucharest Dada.

Idris Elba, Ciaran Hinds, Violante Placido, Johnny Whitworth, Christopher Lamber, and Cristian Iacob are among others in final negotiations to star opposite Cage, in Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance. And the film is currently scheduled for theaters February 17, 2012 in 3D. And sources tell me the studio is currently searching for a young Johnny Blaze; in a minor role of course.

I think Cage has realized " wow!, so the fans liked my Big Daddy, maybe I should try acting good now". I think this is going to be much better.

Curious to see if they'll pull this sequel better than the first one. They seem to have acknowledge that the first film wasn't done right, so we'll see if they learn from that.

I still have a hard time buying Nic Cage as Johnny Blaze. But I'll reserve judgment until I watch this film.

I wish that Marvel Studios claims the rights to Ghost Rider so they can bring some of their supernatural franchises together.

I can just picture Ghost Rider dealing with demons, Blade dealing with vampires, and Doctor Strange dealing with mysticism. This can be in the same Marvel Cinematic Universe as Avengers, but only with the Midnight Sons.

Awesome find DCMF! :) The Ghost Rider stuff in the first movie was great IMO - it was just everything else that was crap, lol! Still, I'm hoping that this sequel will have learned from those past mistakes and we'll end up with a fun movie.

Next to Spidey, I'm a HUGE GR Fan! The first movie made me cringe and drink booze for months to drown out the pain! :(

I'm NOT looking forward to this. I wish I could say that I was, but I'm not! If there is a franchise in desperate need of revision, it's this one! But since they're pushing this forward, I'll wait for DVD. :P

Now onto my epiphany that has nothing to do with this article:

I watched Inception for the first time (Finally!) the other day, and the whole time I saw Tom Hardy in this film; I kept asking myself WHO he reminded me of?

Then it hit me as I watched BATMAN BEGINS today. He reminds me of a young Liam Neeson! (They have the same ears!)

Tom Hardy will play a younger Ras Al Ghul in BatMan 3! :)

It fricking hurts to watch your childhood favorite heroes get raped!:(... I dont trust Neveldine & Taylor a one bit!

Just start a new franchise with Danny Ketch and get Johnny as a side character. But dont bother if you´re not going to give it justice.

Ps. This movie is full of great actors thou.

Hell yeah! Romania! Everything will be dirt cheap there, so they'd have money for decent CGI!

I love Nic Cage and he's awesome as Blaze and Ghost Rider!
No to lame ass villains!

if this one is filmed in 3d and is a little bit darker and he takes on some vampires it should make alot more money than the last one with the lame horse gr .

Dark and gothic - it can probably work. If he's the spirit of vengence, let him go after the big bankers!!!! That will be worth the ticket price and then some.

This thing "Among the places in the country chosen for "Ghost Rider 2 - The Spirit of Vengeance" and Sibiu are împrejurimilesale, Transfăgărăşan, Targu-Jiu, Hunedoara Castle and Bucharest." has a little mistake in it, the word "imprejurimilesale" is actualy 2 words and means neighbouring areas. But i got to say most of these locations excepting Bucharest are sweet locations to film, especially the Transfagarasan area ( http://www.123auto.ro/resources/images/Stiri-Noutati-Liber-pe-Transfagarasan-200706150033216178.jpg ) i just hope the script and acting is good as well.
