Nicolas Cage Returning in Ghost Rider 2

What can we expect from Johnny Blaze in a sequel?

Bloodydisgusting.com is reporting that actor Nicolas Cage will be returning to reprise his role in Ghost Rider 2. In the first installment Nicolas Cage played a stunt rider that sold his sole to Mephistopheles in order to save his dying father. Years go by seeing Johnny become a famous motorcycle stuntman and getting interviewed by his long lost girlfriend Roxanne Simpson(Eva Mendas) reuniting the two. Mephistopheles then rears his ugly head offering Johnny Blaze the opportunity to defeat his son Blackheart, and by doing so Johnny would earn his soul back. Ghost Rider showed us what happens to a mortal soul that sells his most precious possession to the Devil, only to betray and fight for that soul back.

What can we expect from a sequel? Hopefully we see a kick ass ruthless version of Ghost Rider. Let’s stay true to the comics and show audiences that Ghost Rider is a Hell Demon. That’s the whole point of the movie.

Ghost Rider 1 was an ok film. The special effects were awesome but the actors failed to connect to the broader audience. The sequels success depends on if Columbia hires a decent Director to fix this problem and if the script has any quality attached to it at all. Hopefully Marvel will be allowed to have a positive influence on this upcoming film. If Columbia chooses to ignore the problems that hindered the first Ghost Rider film then unfortunately Ghost Rider 2 will become just another B movie sequel.

I thought they weren't doing another one....Well I liked all Marvel movies just because it's for one Marvel and seeing the heroes come to life is pretty amazing...yes if your wondering I even liked Elektra and Daredevil, not as much as the Spider-Man films but it was a joy to watch....GO MARVEL!!!!

When I heard Eva Mendes isnt returning I was like why? That kinda sucks...but then I heard they want her to be She-Hulk? Now Eva is HOT....not the best acting actress around...but as for sex appeal goes..shes very under-rated kinda like Rosario Dawson. Anyways back to Ghost Rider...If they are going have him return....They should start sticking with the Late 1970s-1980s run. That was possible the b3st series for Ghost Rider.

I just hope this doesnt turn out to be like Battlefield Earth lol

The only way to make Ghostrider work is go PG and trash the funny stuff. No half assed demons who look like pretty boys... give us demons who beat the shit out of ghostrider and tear limbs off of people!

More dark, grit and action. I heard that's what they did with Punisher War Zone (havent seen it) and that's how it should be.

I enjoyed the first one, but not in that "Hooray for being a comic nerd" sorta way, is was more like a "Woah, this movie makes a nice little twist on the traditional cowboy flick". The way I see it, Ghost Rider was an awful comic movie, but a really cool western. I mean come on, it even had Sam Elliot and Peter Fonda!

Unfortunately Nick Cage can't act his way out of a paper bag (bless his heart). He has so much passion for the character, but passion only goes so far. You need talent at some point.

So as for a second one... Yeah, gotta be darker, with some real demons... And please give most of the screen time to the CGI Ghost Rider and not Cage, if for no other reason but so we don't have to hear Cage speak.
