We have actually been promised by Cage himself that this was a whole new spin on ol' bonehead.I think it could work.

I really did not mind Ghost Rider, and I do not mean to nitpick, but this movie honestly had a lot of mistakes. The director did try and I think it was a decent but otherwise failed attempt at bringing our favorite demonic hero to the silver screen.Nicolas Cage provided his crazy self as usual, but with some(honestly) bad actors who did try but just couldn't make it.
I think it is safe to say that we all wanted a dark, gritty Ghost Rider that was just awesome. The special effects were simply amazing, and I liked Cage's take on the character cause I have always respected him as an actor.Sam Elliot was a great addition seeing as how he made a great ghostie and I don't think anyone else could have done what he did.
The movie however just had way too many disappointments for us, and I think with GR2, things will be set right, cause Cage realizes he screwed up and needed to restart. We have been promised several options, from a dark, psychological story to even Danny Ketch making an appearance. Which actually if we give this one a chance, could carry on to Ketch being in more films!
The directors are great too, seeing as how Crank 1 & 2 were insane films.I think they are exactly what our rider needs.I think it could be great even though the whole "wrapping up in a week" thing is a little sketchy, I still don't think it would hurt to give it one more shot. We have crazy directors, a dark story, Idris Elba, Danny Ketch, and probably ghostie looking even more badass then what he did in the 1st one. Cage is a cool add too but that is just me.
I'm not going to see it because of Cage, I'm going to see it because I believe with all that has been promised us, we will finally get the Ghost Rider we all want and had hopes for in the first.

That is enough of my soapbox (always wondered why they call it that) and I wish you all:

Good Day peeps!!

Hopefully it's good. I didn't hate the first "Ghost Rider" but by no means was it a great movie. It was just okay... which is disappointing.

Also, fun fact: It's called "being on a soapbox" because people who would sort of give these ranting speeches (that we think of today as "being on a soapbox") in public, they'd usually take a crate (the one soap was shipped in was the perfect size, hence "soapbox") and stand on it to give them some height over the crowd.

At least, I've always heard it that way. May be wrong though...

The first movie is decent but it isn't as good as I wish it was. This new movie sounds pretty cool so far and I hope it is good.

Nic Cage is an alright Johnny Blaze but I think Jensen Ackels would be a great Johnny Blaze.

I have to admit I did hate the first movie. I think the main dislike of the lot was Cage himself. But I give all a fair run until I see the movie. I like the fact "it's not a sequel"
