G.I. Joe The Movie... Powered by clown tears?

Unhappy with the current state of the new live action G.I. Joe movie? Then you may want to head over to the Cartoon Network Adult Swim site (who's current tag line is apparently "powered by clown tears").

The new G.I. Joe: Resolute animated movie was originally intended to be a miniseries to air on the official Hasbro G.I. Joe website. But what was meant to be a gimmicky set of webisodes has turned into a PG-13 feature length animated movie that aired on Cartoon Network's late night Adult Swim lineup on April 25th.

What's that you say? General Hawk sent you on a mission to keep Snow Job company in the Arctic, and you didn't get to see the movie?

Well not to worry fellow Joe! AdultSwim.com has spared you some tasty wartime rations.

The movie has also been released as 10 luscious webisode installments.

Unfortunately, all they will do is wet your appetite, as the last ten minutes of the series is only on the Cartoon Network broadcasted movie on Adult Swim.

You may want to check them out as soon as possible though, Adult Swim is known to change content on their site as often as they change their show lineup!

Film Advisory: It is full of baddassery!

Caught this Saturday night, it was mad murderous.

Body count was def in the house... to the tune of 10 mil plus. Even Road-block was a stone killer. Awesome, I'd love to see another one.

No one mentioned that madman comic writer, Warren Ellis (Transmetropolitan, Planetary) was the one that wrote this series.

From what I read, the first part of his agreement was something like this...
"OK, so they have to use real bullets instead of those laser gun things".

Yeah, I realized I left that out...

When I originally watched the first webisode on [as] and seen the crime scene, and then finding out about Bazooka, I was like, "woah, who wrote this?"

It is totally G.I. Joe in the "real world."

How about the fact Cobra Commander isn't some weak coward who's a borderline idiot. Instead he actually kills anyone and I mean anyone who disobeys him. Plus the best fight scene filmed so far between Stormshadow and Snake Eyes.Cool to see Joes kill instead of just knock out or arrest the enemy.

I know what you mean, I was bummed on a few of those fatalities. If they do decide to get another one going, I wouldn't be apposed to them rewriting a bit of that history, or prequel it for that matter.
