Zap2it reveals that David Anders (Alias) is set to pay a visit to Starling City in episode 13 of Arrow as 'Cyrus Vanch'. According to the site, "Vanch is a ruthless career criminal who is released from prison after a long stint. Laurel is particularly invested in taking Vanch down. When she discovers that the police can't get him off the streets, she turns to the Arrow for help. Unfortunately, the cunning Vanch is one step ahead of them -- he's looking to take control of Starling City's criminal underworld, and in order to prove himself to the lowlifes, he's got a mind to eliminate the man criminals fear most." That's a pretty lengthy description, although it's worth noting that he ISN'T a character from the comic books. Apparently, Vanch will be one of Oliver's greatest threats yet. Are you looking forward to seeing The Vampire Diaries actor in Arrow?

He deserves a lot more than just participating in another TV series. A CBM role for him would be great.

I'd love to see him as Bullseye.

The guy certainly gets around. First he's an immortal bad guy on heroes and now Frankenstein.

Bet he's going to have a British accent.

@jj2112, Arrow and Once Upon a Time film in Vancouver, so he could recur on both shows.

I remember him in Heroes! Memories...

Is it just me, or does every episode of Arrow label the new villain as Oliver's 'greatest threat yet'?

@TimTinman what's with the annoying 'erm' halfway through most of your sentences? It must get tedious pointlessly typing that all the time.
And no to your cast either. This version of Arrow, much like Bale as Batman, is grounded in a realistic (no superpowers) universe, while Cavill would be wasted on the rubbish Justice League they're making.
Reynolds could return though I guess, but only because he was an awful Green Lantern so he'd fit in well with an awful Justice League film.

Aww, crap-- Anders would have been a GREAT Riddler! It's a shame to see a good actor wasted on such a mediocre part...

But hey, I'll still watch it.
