New Love Interest For Oliver In ARROW Season 2

New Love Interest For Oliver In ARROW Season 2

The Lance sisters, McKenna, Shado, Huntress...Oliver sure covered a lot of ground in the first 23 episodes of The CW's Arrow. Yet a fresh report specifies that a new love interest will be entering the fray in Season 2 and she's 'equal to Oliver in every way.'

The first season of The CW's Arrow saw a number of love interests for Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell). There was of course, Sara Lance (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and her sister, Laurel (Katie Cassidy). And there was also Huntress (Jessica De Gouw), McKenna Hall (Janina Gavankar), Shado (Celina Jade), and while there wasn't much romantic interaction between them, there's also fan favorite Felicity Smoak played by Emily Bett Rickards ('Olicity', look it up). And with the explosive season finale leaving the relationship between Oliver and Laurel in a very precarious situation, there's a new report that yet another woman will enter Oliver's life to complicate matters. Reports Spoiler TV, "Arrow is currently casting for a new major recurring character/possible series regular for Season 2. Here name is Lisa and is described as a mysterious woman with a tragic past. She will wreak havoc on Oliver's heart and is equal to Oliver in every way."

'Lisa' is probably just a cover name so as to not give away the character's identity during the casting process. And in trying to think of a DC Comics femme fatale who fits that brief description, I've hit a bit of a brick wall as all the 'likely' candidates have already appeared on the show. The bit that she's 'equal to Oliver in every way' makes me believe that she'll be a serious butt kicker. Lady Shiva rings a bell but that's just my personal speculation, we shouldn't rule out the possibility that it's a newly created character. Regardless, it appears that Oliver's love life will be just as interesting in Season 2 as it was in the first 23 episodes.

"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine."

I don't remember Clark in Smallville having a lot of gf's. There was Lana, Chole and Lois. That was pretty much it.

Unless your saying everyone knows it should be Clark and Lois but we had to wait till the near end of Smallville to see that happen. I wouldn't want that for Arrow either. I think Oliver and Laurel need a cemented relationship by Season 3.

Him having multiple love interests would be fine if he wasn't pining over another woman throughout the whole thing.

Now if he and Laurel never get back together then I will support this.

NOOOOO just do Dinah/Oliver.

Please don't make this like Smallville and have pointless other love interests, when you KNOW who he's going to end up with.

I don't mind Oliver dating different women because he is the lead character but I hope his romantic life doesn't become the most important thing like it happened in Smallville.

I hope next season focuses more on Oliver becoming Green Arrow and establishing himself has Starling City's guardian.

Black Canary. Remember what Andrew Kreisberg said. Never say never with powers. Also, Green Lantern. It's confusing though. In Man of steel at the end the girl who says "I just think he's kind of hot" is Captain Ferris. Blake Lively played her and now Arrow might put her in the show if they have GL. That would be (3 Carol Ferris) IDK. They need to communicate with each other and be on the same page. They should just do it the way MARVEL does it. They want to squeeze in Justice League as soon as possible. Patience.

Do most of you people on here know that this article says that they are CASTING someone for this role. That means we have not seen her before. The wouldn't be casting for a role if it was casted in season 1.
Anyway, I think that it will be Conner Hawkes mother. Maybe they may put Katanna in like they did the Huntress. Maybe it's Zinda from the Blackhawks. There are possibilities.

In the comics Oliver Queen is a sex-machine.
He tries to get after all the ladies..& many times does.
It's relaxing & fun,Batman is too uptight with his never ending war on crime.
Bruce needs to tap more ass.

@MarkJulian: What about Alicia Baker, the girl who had her own powers and went all psycho trying to kill Lana, then came back some time later, rehabilitated - only to be killed by another meteor mutant, remember her? She and Clark got pretty serious for kind of a short amount time. *cool*/P :)
