Even though I liked Smallville, I hope CW learns from their mistakes with the show to make this even stronger.

He referred to his alter-ego as just "Arrow" in the video. I hope his name is actually Green Arrow in the show and not just Arrow. That would be retarded.

It's looking like the use of the Name "Arrow" and "Starling City" is a hedge just in case the pilot doesn't get picked up, they could later deny that it was based on Green Arrow. I have a felling that post pilot they will change the name of the city and some of the characters.

@thatdylhooper, I know, but I saw the video on Youtube before I came here. Anyone watching it on Youtube, and not from here, isn't going to know there's a spoiler.

And did it always have the spoiler warning in the article? Unless I just missed it, it wasn't there when I first saw the article.

@thatdylhooper I just think it's dumb I don't know I feel like that would be just like Marvel making the Iron Man movies and calling him "Iron" instead of his full name from the comics seems silly to me but I digress.

@jazzman You do make a good point though lol superheroes with Green in their name haven't been too popular as of late

i think this will be great, smallville was good, but there were the bad seasons like 7,8,10, but this show could be somthing special, If it keeps the same tone as like the nolan series, but has all of our favorite heroes from dc appear. This could set up for a Batman or Nightwing series. But thats all if this show is successful.

Maybe they used Starling City because there is an actual Star City and well he wears Green so really it is kinda redundant to say "Green" Arrow. Maybe they will call him that sometime in the beginning and later just call him Arrow to keep it simple. Arrow is shorter and better call sign/identity in "real life".

I'm looking forward to this show.

I was skeptical about some of the changes and things I've heard when the news of this show first hit.

It's been shaping up since then. I think this has a lot of potential.
