Thanks to CBM Scooper ComicBookGuy we have plenty more pictures of the action filled production day of Martin Campbell's Green Lantern film. Filming took place on the intersection of Poydras and O'Keefe in downtown New Orleans, Louisiana. This appears to be a continuation of the "mass panic" scene centered around the newly constructed faux Farmer's Market. As per the description yesterday, 'The extras have been spending their days running around the set screaming and acting terrified. The Farmer's Market was constructed from scratch in a New Orleans parking lot. Ryan Reynolds hasn't appeared on set yet, but this scene does involve his character facing off against the threat. This threat could be the fear entity known as Parallax, since the other villain, Hector Hammond (played by Peter Sarsgaard) hasn't been confirmed to appear in the scene.'

The jackknifed truck was set up to crash directly in front of the market, while the vehicle the Coast City school bus hit was set up with a steaming radiator, for added effect:

YEAR away and already it's getting OVER hyped.

I hope this movie does GREAT..cause I reall
want a FLASH film!

I also have come to the conclusion that
we will NEVER see..

A JUSTICE LEAGUE movie!!

to have a JL movie..There is SO MANY
more movies, that STILL need to be made!

Aquaman (will NEVER happen)
Batman (still waiting for batman 3)

So by the time I'm 50 (I'm only 26)..A movie..MIGHT
on it's way!..LOL!

5th picture from the top = Stilt-Man. Could we be getting the Marvel/DC crossover that we've been wanting? : ) Both Marvel and DC have their highs and lows and right now everything's looking on the high end.

Nova: Thanks! Got even better stuff after work. Hope those get posted tomorrow. I work in an office building not far from the set and shooting area, which is where the shots from above came.

What was cool yesterday was they had a helicopter shooting aerial shots of the area, but it kept doing these random passes through the area, pausing at odd places for a couple of minutes, and buzzed real close to my building a couple of times. I'm wondering if there's going to be an aerial battle as part of this scene that the helicopter was shooting (given that the actors will be added in later). Didn't have my camera with me to get any pictures of that, and my cell takes crappy shots.

i'm not sure about any of the big films coming out next yr: thor, ca, gl, and then t3. 2012 is where it's at for me: batman 3, spidey reboot, and avengers.

dont get me wrong these films look good, but they're just photos. no footage yet, and everyone is like omg. once footage hits then i'll give an opinion, but when the film hits it's either a miss or a hell ya

bropous@ THANK YOU! both comic universes have there ups and downs but they are both fantastic and absolutely amazing! I myself like to read marvel, but thats just because I like the characters.
