This just in from the Nola website, which provides updates on New Orleans movie production status especially where Green Lantern is ready to film, the Green Lantern production crews are building the sets!
"The Green Lantern" producer Lucienne Papon, who's in town gearing up for shooting to start in mid-March on the eagerly awaited superhero, film said her 2-year-old son has of late been sporting a "Who Dat" shirt."
Supposedly they are having quite a blast with the superbowl matchup between the Saints and the Colts.
Mike Scott, who wrote the article on the website went on:
"The D.C. Comics-inspired "Green Lantern" -- backed by Warner Bros. and among the biggest projects to shoot here since "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" in late 2006 and early 2007 -- doesn't start shooting until mid-March, with Ryan Reynolds in the title role. But an estimated 200 people are hard at work on pre-production endeavors, such as set construction."
Producer Lucienne Papon revealed that "Monday will definitely be a work day for The Green Lantern. Our work is definitely not canceled Monday. We're five weeks out of shooting -- we're working fast and furious. But I think all of us will be cheering as loudly as possible Sunday night."
So both fans and and the production crew will rejoice as we know that the Green Lantern will be seeing the light of Hollywood in no time and the superbowl will commence.
