GREEN LANTERN, IRON MAN 3 & THOR Concept Art By Ivan Girard

I recently came across some fantastic concept art created by Ivan Girard for several superhero films in recent past. Come check out artwork for Kenneth Branagh's Thor, Shane Black's Iron Man 3 and Martin Campbell's Green Lantern.

For Green Lantern, Girard worked on early concepts to establish a visual identity for Green Lantern's energy-charged costume and space-travelling. His designs were inspired by tesla coils, lightning, nebulas, fire and holographic elements. The 2011 film was directed by Martin Campbell ("Casino Royale") and starred Ryan Reynolds ("Deadpool"). For Thor, Girard worked on designs for the Bifrost, and Jotunheim the homeworld of the Frost Giants. The 2011 Marvel film was directed by Kenneth Branagh ("Cinderella") and starred Chris Hemsworth ("Rush") as the God of Thunder. For Iron Man 3, Girard came up with a visual look to the red-hot Extremis effect. The 2013 film was directed by Shane Black ("Kiss Kiss Bang Bang") and starred Robert Downey Jr. ("Chef").
